А ако искаха да излязат[ за битка], щяха да се подготвят за това. Но Аллах възненавидя тяхното намерение и вся у тях леност, и им се рече:“ Останете с оставащите!”.

Quran 37:35 When it was said to them,“There is no god except God,” they grew arrogant.

Whenever it was said to them:“ There is no true deity apart from Allah,” they waxed proud.

And it will come to pass that, in the place where it was said to them,'You are not my people,' they will be called'sons of the living God.'.

As-Saffat-35: Surely, when it was said to them:“There is no god but Allah”, they puffed themselves up with pride.

And that He might know the hypocrites' When it was said to them:' Come, fight or repel in the way of Allah' They replied:' If only we knew how to fight, we would follow you' On that day, they were nearer to disbelief than belief.
И им се рече:“ Елате, сражавайте се по пътя на Аллах или се защитете!” Рекоха:“ Ако знаехме как да се сражаваме, щяхме да ви последваме.”.

When it was said to them,'There is no god but God', they were ever waxing proud.
Когато им се рече:“Няма друго божество освен Аллах!”, те се възгордяваха.

And( remember) when it was said to them:" Dwell in this town( Jerusalem) and eat therefrom wherever you wish, and say,'( O Allah) forgive our sins'; and enter the gate prostrate( bowing with humility). We shall forgive you your wrong-doings!
И когато им бе речено:“ Обитавайте това селище и яжте оттам, откъдето пожелаете, и кажете:“ Опрощение!”, и влезте през вратата, кланяйки се, Ние ще ви опростим прегрешенията!

And it was said to them: Come, fight in the Way of Allah, or defend yourselves. They said:“If we knew fighting, we would certainly have followed you”.
И им се рече:“Елате, сражавайте се по пътя на Аллах или се защитете!” Те рекоха:“Ако знаехме как да се сражаваме, щяхме да ви последваме.” В онзи ден те бяха по-близо до неверието, отколкото до вярата, изричайки с уста онова, което не е в сърцата им..

And recall when it was said to them:' Dwell in this town and eat plentifully of whatever you please, and say:" Repentance", and enter the gate prostrate. We shall forgive you your sins and shall bestow further favours on those who do good.'.
И когато им бе речено:“ Обитавайте това селище и яжте оттам, откъдето пожелаете, и кажете:“ Опрощение!”, и влезте през вратата, кланяйки се, Ние ще ви опростим прегрешенията! И ще надбавим за благодетелните.”.

And when it was said to them,' Dwell in this township and eat of it wherever you will; and say, Unburdening; and enter in at the gate, prostrating; We will forgive you your transgressions, and increase the good-doers.'.
И когато им бе речено:“ Обитавайте това селище и яжте оттам, откъдето пожелаете, и кажете:“ Опрощение!”, и влезте през вратата, кланяйки се, Ние ще ви опростим прегрешенията! И ще надбавим за благодетелните.”.

And remember it was said to them:" Dwell in this town and eat therein as ye wish, but say the word of humility and enter the gate in a posture of humility: We shall forgive you your faults; We shall increase( the portion of) those who do good.".
И когато им бе речено:“ Обитавайте това селище и яжте оттам, откъдето пожелаете, и кажете:“ Опрощение!”, и влезте през вратата, кланяйки се, Ние ще ви опростим прегрешенията! И ще надбавим за благодетелните.”.

And when it was said to them:" Live in this land and eat of its produce wheresoever you like, and ask for remission of your sins, but pass through the gates with submission( and not pride), We shall forgive your trespasses, and give to those who are righteous abundance,".
И когато им бе речено:“ Обитавайте това селище и яжте оттам, откъдето пожелаете, и кажете:“ Опрощение!”, и влезте през вратата, кланяйки се, Ние ще ви опростим прегрешенията! И ще надбавим за благодетелните.”.

And when it was said to them: Reside in this town and eat from it wherever you wish, and say, Put down from us our heavy burdens: and enter the gate making obeisance, We will forgive you your wrongs: We will give more to those who do good( to others).
И когато им бе речено:“ Обитавайте това селище и яжте оттам, откъдето пожелаете, и кажете:“ Опрощение!”, и влезте през вратата, кланяйки се, Ние ще ви опростим прегрешенията! И ще надбавим за благодетелните.”.

Al-Furqan-60: And when it was said to them:“Prostrate yourselves to the Most Beneficent”, they said:“What is the Most Beneficent? Shall we prostrate ourselves to what you command us”? And it(this command) increased them in aversion.
Ал-Фуркан-60: И когато им се рече:“Сведете чела до земята в суджуд пред Всемилостивия!”, казаха:“А какво е Всемилостивия? Нима ще се поклоним на онова, което ни повеляваш ти?” И това(тази повеля) им надбави омраза.
