Then the Blessed One addressed the Venerable Ānanda, saying,“It may be, Ānanda, that in some of you the thought may arise,‘The word of the teacher has ended, we no longer have a teacher!'.
Therefore, Ānanda, dwell as a lamp unto yourself, refuge unto yourself, seeking no other refuge;….
There are, Ānanda, beings that have a diverse body and a diverse perception, like human beings, some gods and some beings in the lower realms.
