November 2014. Belgrade- Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic saidthat the security and safety situation in the municipalities of Bujanovac, Presevo and Medvedja was satisfactory, despite the occasional political provocations.

According to him, a course in the Albanian language was organized in Bujanovacthe year before and a great many Serbian secondary-school students were interested in it.“The school year in Bujanovac, Presevo and Medvedja won't begin on September 1 because there are no textbooks in Albanian.
Organized by the OSCE Mission to Serbia,will gather some 20 journalists from Bujanovac, Presevo and Medvedja to exchange experiences and discuss how the Law on Free Access to Information is applied and how it could contribute to fighting corruption.
The Program is conducted by the National Agency for Regional Development, in cooperation with the accredited regional development agencies, and it covers about 50 cities and municipalities in the Republic of Serbia,including the municipalities of Bujanovac, Presevo and Medvedja.
