Com shall not be liable in any form whatsoever, except as stated in the preceding provisions.

The preceding provisions are intended to limit the application of national overlapping rules by taking account of the fact that pensions to be reduced because they overlap with benefits of a different type, with income or remuneration, are not complete pensions but pensions which are already reduced either because they have been proratized or because they have been reduced in application of Article 46(3) of Regulation No 1408/71.
The preceding provision is the same as that appearing at No 4680-3 supra invalidity pensions.
Upon the adoption of Regulation No 1408/71 it was agreed that periods of captivity should automatically be covered by the preceding provision.
