An additional local level position is created at the Regional Office in India.

This includes the establishment of a new P-4 post for theChief of the Security and Safety Section and 21 additional Local level posts(one of which, including its related budgetary resources, is reflected under training).
The Advisory Committee recommends that the additional Local level post for a secretary to the Protocol Officer be accommodated from within the current establishment of local posts authorized or to be authorized for the Tribunal(para. 50).
Regional offices are intended to be strengthened by two Field Service staff, two National Officers, and seven Local level staff in selected regions to support air operations, eight United Nations Volunteers for the regional office tocarry out duties as English Language Teachers and four additional Local level positions to carry out duties as drivers in Jalalabad.
It is also proposed to establish 384 additional Local level positions for deployment to existing provincial offices(174) and to the proposed additional provincial offices(210) to carry out duties in connection with.
In connection with the proposed establishment of a Local level post for the Communications and Information Technology Section, the Committee notes from paragraph 37 of the report that there are currently four Local level posts for electronic data-processing assistants that are distributed among the Sukhumi,Zugdidi and Tbilisi sectors and the additional Local level post is requested for the Gali Sector.
An additional local level position will be added to the offices in Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Russian Federation and South Africa, bringing the total level of local staff in those offices to one National Programme Officer and three local level positions.
It is also proposed to establish 21 additional Local level positions, the incumbents of which would be deployed as security guards in order to ensure smooth operations and uninterrupted 24-hour-a-day, 7 days a week security coverage of the Mission ' s premises and staff at headquarters in Kabul.

However, in view of the fact that 12 additional Local level posts were authorized for the Security Section for the current financial period, the Committee requests that the mission review the continued need for these posts and report on the results of the review in the context of the next budget submission for UNOMIG.
It is proposed to establish 20 additional Local level positions for deployment to Bamyan, Gardez, Hirat, Jalalabad, Kandahar(4 to each office), under the supervision of a National Administrative Officer in each regional office, to support the increased general services activities resulting from the anticipated further expansion of the Mission into additional provinces.
