More can be done to make the implementation of the three Rio Conventions(on climate change, biodiversity and desertification) mutually reinforcing, by addressing substantive linkages and identifying projects that achieve the objectives of more than one Convention. .

A significant number of countries(approximately one quarter for joint initiatives and one half for operational mechanisms) reported that they had other types of initiatives than those listed in the reporting template.
