The following are some indicative elements which could be developed over the coming weeks in consultation with members and concerned parties and finalized in due course taking into consideration the conclusions of the Secretary-General ' s Panel on a New Study on Systemwide Coherence in the Areas of Humanitarian Assistance.
Prior to the meeting of experts,the secretariat circulated to member States a compilation of the draft indicative elements and other proposals submitted by members during the sixth session, as well as further proposals submitted by 30 June 2006.

In its resolution 56/260 of 31 January 2002, the General Assembly requested the Ad Hoc Committee for the Negotiation of a Convention against Corruption, in developing the draft convention,to adopt a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach and to consider a series of indicative elements, among which were preventing and combating the transfer of funds of illicit origin derived from acts of corruption, including the laundering of funds, and returning such funds.
