Reservations and interpretive declarations.

Japan has made reservations and interpretive declarations to the following treaties and conventions.
One aspect of the classification of unilateral legal acts of States,namely, interpretive declarations.
Interpretive declarations, however, remained a problem, and possible also statements of policy made in connexion with a treaty.
Since such procedures were always treaty-based,they were valid alternatives to conditional interpretive declarations.
Clearly much thoughtful legal analysis on the definitions of reservations and interpretive declarations had gone into the report and the Commission' s debate.
