We sent to the people of Midian their brother Shu'ayb. He told them,"Worship God. Have hope in the life to come. Do not spread evil in the land".
മദ്യനിലേക്ക് നാം അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്‍ ശുഐബിനെ അയച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു:" എന്റെ ജനമേ, നിങ്ങള്‍ അല്ലാഹുവിനു വഴിപ്പെടുക. അന്ത്യദിനത്തെ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുക. നാട്ടില്‍ നാശകാരികളായി കുഴപ്പമുണ്ടാക്കരുത്.".

So the people took food in their hand, and their trumpets; and he sent all the men of Israel every man to his tent, but retained the three hundred men: and the camp of Midian was beneath him in the valley.
അങ്ങനെ അവര്‍ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഭക്ഷണസാധനങ്ങളും കാഹളങ്ങളും വാങ്ങി; ശേഷം യിസ്രായേല്യരെയൊക്കെയും അവന്‍ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പറഞ്ഞയക്കയും ആ മുന്നൂറുപേരെ നിര്‍ത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു. എന്നാല്‍ മിദ്യാന്യരുടെ പാളയം താഴെ സമഭൂമിയില്‍ ആയിരുന്നു.

To Midian We sent their brother Shu'aib. He said:"O people, worship God and be ready for the Day of Resurrection. Do no evil, and create no mischief in the land.".
മദ്യനിലേക്ക് നാം അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്‍ ശുഐബിനെ അയച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു:" എന്റെ ജനമേ, നിങ്ങള്‍ അല്ലാഹുവിനു വഴിപ്പെടുക. അന്ത്യദിനത്തെ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുക. നാട്ടില്‍ നാശകാരികളായി കുഴപ്പമുണ്ടാക്കരുത്.".

Midian, and Moses had also called their Prophets liars. I gave respite to the unbelievers, then sized them with torment. How terrible was that torment!
മദ്‌യന്‍ നിവാസികളും( നിഷേധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്‌.) മൂസായും അവിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്‌. എന്നാല്‍ അവിശ്വാസികള്‍ക്ക് ഞാന്‍ സമയം നീട്ടികൊടുക്കുകയും, പിന്നെ ഞാനവരെ പിടികൂടുകയുമാണ് ചെയ്തത്‌. അപ്പോള്‍ എന്‍റെ പ്രതിഷേധം എങ്ങനെയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.?

When he arrived at the well of Midian, he found some people watering(their sheep) and two women keeping the sheep away from the others. He asked the two women,"What is the matter with you?" They replied,"We cannot water our sheep until all the shepherds have driven away their flocks. Our father is an old man".
മദ്യനിലെ ജലാശയത്തിനടുത്തെത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ അവിടെ ഒരു കൂട്ടം ആളുകള്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ ആടുകളെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുകണ്ടു. അവരില്‍ നിന്ന് വിട്ടുമാറി രണ്ടു സ്ത്രീകള്‍ ആടുകളെ തടഞ്ഞുനിര്‍ത്തുന്നതായും. അതിനാല്‍ അദ്ദേഹം ചോദിച്ചു:" നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രശ്നമെന്താണ്?" അവരിരുവരും പറഞ്ഞു:" ആ ഇടയന്മാര്‍ അവരുടെ ആടുകളെ തിരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകുംവരെ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിക്കാനാവില്ല. ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവാണെങ്കില്‍ അവശനായ ഒരു വൃദ്ധനാണ്.".

And We sent to Midian their brother Shuayb. He said:“My people, serve Allah and look forward to the Last Day and do not go about the earth committing mischief.”.
മദ്‌യങ്കാരിലേക്ക് അവരുടെ സഹോദരനായ ശുഐബിനേയും( നാം അയച്ചു) അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: എന്‍റെ ജനങ്ങളേ, നിങ്ങള്‍ അല്ലാഹുവെ ആരാധിക്കുകയും, അന്ത്യദിനത്തെ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുവിന്‍. നാശകാരികളായിക്കൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങള്‍ ഭൂമിയില്‍ കുഴപ്പമുണ്ടാക്കരുത്‌.

And to Midian their brother Shuaib; he said,'O my people, serve God! You have no god other than He. And diminish not the measure and the balance. I see you are prospering; and I fear for you the chastisement of an encompassing day.
മദ്‌യങ്കാരിലേക്ക് അവരുടെ സഹോദരനായ ശുഐബിനേയും( നാം നിയോഗിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി.) അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: എന്‍റെ ജനങ്ങളേ, നിങ്ങള്‍ അല്ലാഹുവിനെ ആരാധിക്കുക. നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് അവനല്ലാതെ യാതൊരു ദൈവവുമില്ല. അളവിലും തൂക്കത്തിലും നിങ്ങള്‍ കുറവ് വരുത്തരുത്‌. തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നിങ്ങളെ ഞാന്‍ കാണുന്നത് ക്ഷേമത്തിലായിട്ടാണ്‌. നിങ്ങളെ ആകെ വലയം ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ദിവസത്തെ ശിക്ഷ നിങ്ങളുടെ മേല്‍ തീര്‍ച്ചയായും ഞാന്‍ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു.

And to(the people of) Midian We sent their brother Shu'ayb. He said:'My people! Serve Allah; you have no god other than Him. And do not diminish the measure and weight. Indeed I see that you are prospering now, but I fear for you the chastisement of an encompassing day in the future.
മദ്യന്‍ നിവാസികളിലേക്ക് അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്‍ ശുഐബിനെ നാം നിയോഗിച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു:" എന്റെ ജനമേ, നിങ്ങള്‍ അല്ലാഹുവിന് വഴിപ്പെടുക. അവനല്ലാതെ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കൊരു ദൈവമില്ല. നിങ്ങള്‍ അളവിലും തൂക്കത്തിലും കുറവു വരുത്തരുത്. ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളെ കാണുന്നത് സുസ്ഥിതിയിലാണ്. അതോടൊപ്പം നിങ്ങളെയാകെ വലയം ചെയ്യുന്ന ശിക്ഷ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കുണ്ടാകുമോയെന്ന് ഞാന്‍ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

When he came to the water wells of Midian he found there some people drawing water, and he found two women apart from them who were keeping back(their flocks).'What is your business' he asked. They replied:'We cannot draw water until the shepherds have driven away(their flocks), and our father is an elderly man'.
മദ്യനിലെ ജലാശയത്തിനടുത്തെത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ അവിടെ ഒരു കൂട്ടം ആളുകള്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ ആടുകളെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുകണ്ടു. അവരില്‍ നിന്ന് വിട്ടുമാറി രണ്ടു സ്ത്രീകള്‍ ആടുകളെ തടഞ്ഞുനിര്‍ത്തുന്നതായും. അതിനാല്‍ അദ്ദേഹം ചോദിച്ചു:" നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രശ്നമെന്താണ്?" അവരിരുവരും പറഞ്ഞു:" ആ ഇടയന്മാര്‍ അവരുടെ ആടുകളെ തിരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകുംവരെ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിക്കാനാവില്ല. ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവാണെങ്കില്‍ അവശനായ ഒരു വൃദ്ധനാണ്.".

So give full measure and full weight, and do not deliver short. Do not corrupt the land after it has been set in order. This is for your own good, if you are true believers.
മദ്‌യങ്കാരിലേക്ക് അവരുടെ സഹോദരനായ ശുഐബിനെയും( അയച്ചു.) അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: എന്‍റെ ജനങ്ങളേ, നിങ്ങള്‍ അല്ലാഹുവെ ആരാധിക്കുക. നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് അവനല്ലാതെ യാതൊരു ദൈവവുമില്ല. നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കല്‍ നിന്ന് വ്യക്തമായ തെളിവ് വന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്‌. അതിനാല്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ അളവും തൂക്കവും തികച്ചുകൊടുക്കണം. ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്കുഅവരുടെ സാധനങ്ങളില്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ കമ്മിവരുത്തരുത്‌. ഭൂമിയില്‍ നന്‍മവരുത്തിയതിന് ശേഷം നിങ്ങള്‍ അവിടെ നാശമുണ്ടാക്കരുത്‌. നിങ്ങള്‍ വിശ്വാസികളാണെങ്കില്‍ അതാണ് നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഉത്തമം.
