A step-by-step guide for implementing NAPAs, in English, French and Portuguese, and a Step-by-Step Guide& NAPA Source Kit CD-ROM;
Prepare a summary of success stories on preparing and implementing NAPAs.
It was used at the training workshops on implementing NAPAs that took place on 19- 23 October 2009 in the United Republic of Tanzania, and on 8- 12 February 2010 in Mali.
There is a need to explore sources of funding other than the LDCF for implementing NAPAs.

It was then proposed that the LEG could prepare a guidance paper on the programmatic approach for implementing NAPAs in collaboration with the GEF and its agencies.

On the interaction with the GEF and its agencies, the LEG focused on ways to develop a strategy for addressing challenges faced by LDCs in implementing NAPAs, and areas of collaboration in the implementation of the LDC work programme.
At its sixteenth session, the COP established the Cancun Adaptation Framework, and under it a process to enable the LDCs to formulate and implement NAPs,building upon the experience gained in preparing and implementing NAPAs.

The Least Developed Countries Expert Group(LEG) has developed annotated guidelines anda step-by-step guide to assist LDCs in preparing and implementing NAPAs, respectively.
The LEG also defineda set of outcomes, which primarily aim at enhancing the capabilities of LDC practitioners to develop projects for implementing NAPAs, and increasing their awareness and/or knowledge of relevant project development concepts, gender aspects, considerations for integrating adaptation into development, and their knowledge of experiences, best practices and lessons learned by others in the same region.
Individual countries were encouraged to prepare presentations on their national experiences in preparing and implementing NAPAs, as inputs to discussions during the training.
