In a statement issued on 10 March(S/PRST/1995/11),the Council took note of my intention in this regard.

By paragraph 4of its resolution 1245(1999) of 11 June 1999, the Security Council took note of my intention and underlined that security conditions should be considered in any further eventual deployment.
I wish to refer to my letter dated 30 November 2007(S/2007/695) informing the President of the Security Council of the progress made by the Cameroon-Nigeria Mixed Commission, andhis reply of 5 December 2007(S/2007/710), in which he took note of my intention to continue the activities of the United Nations support team to the Mixed Commission with funding from the regular budget.
The present report is submitted pursuant to paragraph 8 of Security Council resolution 966(1994) of 8 December 1994,in which the Council took note of my intention to submit a report on the possible mandate for a new United Nations operation in Angola, based on my assessment of the circumstances, including the maintenance of the cease-fire.

I also recalled that the Security Council, in its resolution 1573(2004), had reaffirmed the needto fight against impunity, and had taken note of my intention to continue to explore possible ways to address this issue with a view to making proposals as appropriate.
I wish to refer to my letter of 17 March 2004(S/2004/298) informing the President of the Security Council of the progress made bythe Cameroon-Nigeria Mixed Commission, and your reply of 15 April 2004(S/2004/299), which took note of my intention to continue the activities of the United Nations support team to the Cameroon-Nigeria Mixed Commission with funding from the regular budget.
I wish to refer to my letter of 1 August 2005(S/2005/528) informing the President of theSecurity Council of the progress made by the Cameroon-Nigeria Mixed Commission, and his reply of 12 August 2005(S/2005/529), which took note of my intention to continue the activities of the United Nations support team to the Cameroon-Nigeria Mixed Commission with funding from the regular budget.
In its resolution 1652(2006),the Security Council took note of my report and expressed its intention to keep under review the tasks and troop levels of UNOCI, and specifically to review them when the Council considers my forthcoming report on the United Nations Mission in Liberia(UNMIL), taking into account the situations in both Côte d'Ivoire and Liberia.
They also took note positively of my intention to facilitate and offer the necessary arrangements for another meeting of the Dialogue.
On 16 September, I received a letter from the President of the Security Council noting my intention to appoint a new United Nations Special Coordinator, following which Mr. Larsen took up his functions on 1 October.
In addition, I indicated in my note my intention to transfer approximately $161 million of unencumbered funds to the Development Fund for Iraq.
In your letter dated 29 November 2001(S/2001/1129),you informed me that the members of the Council had welcomed my intention to establish that Office and had taken note of the functions assigned to it.
As noted in section III of the present report, it is my intention to deploy 42 additional military observers to UNOMIL, in order for the Mission to carry out its responsibilities in monitoring the cease-fire and the disengagement of forces.
The General Assembly has taken a positive step in welcoming my intention to strengthen the collaboration of the Organization with all relevant partners, while noting the importance of continued consultations with Member States in this area.
At that round, the Ministers,inter alia, noted positively my intention to facilitate and offer the necessary arrangements for the convening of an all-inclusive intra-East-Timorese dialogue.
In this regard, please note that earlier this year, after indicating my intentions to the Security Council, I appointed Mr. Morrison as judge of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon.
In the absence of any objection by the Council, the matter of reinstating or extending letters of credit will be handled as detailed in the attached note, which outlines my intentions and proposals for terminating operations relating to the letters of credit raised against the United Nations Iraq Account.
