UNIDROIT continuously monitored the principles with a view to enhancing their relevance.

ICJ suggested that the mandate of an independent expert might provide a suitable mechanism for further consideration of the draft set of principles with a view to their adoption by the Commission, and for studying the issue of impunity of perpetrators of economic, social and cultural rights violations and the proposal of international standards in that respect.
In its resolution 2006/9, the Sub-Commission approved draft guiding principles on human rights andextreme poverty: the rights of the poor and requested the Human Rights Council to study those guiding principles with a view to adopting them and forwarding them to the General Assembly.

The view was expressed that close communication should be maintained among the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee, the Legal Subcommittee and IAEA, andthat the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space could carry out a comprehensive study of the Safety Framework and the Principles with a view to assessing the feasibility and necessity of revising the Principles. .
