States Parties are invited to take note of the relevant initiatives of regional organizations, such as the Council of Europe Recommendation No.
The relevant initiatives of regional, interregional and multilateral organizations against money-laundering shall be those referred to in the note to article 14 in the travaux préparatoires.
For the purposes of implementing the provisions of this article, States Parties shall take account of the relevant initiatives of regional, interregional and multilateral organizations.

Under article 52, paragraph 2, in order to facilitate implementation of these measures, States parties,in accordance with their domestic law and inspired by relevant initiatives of regional, interregional and multilateral organizations against money-laundering, are required.
In line with paragraph 3 of article 8 of the Convention, States parties are required to take note of relevant initiatives of regional, interregional and multilateral organizations, such as the International Code of Conduct for Public Officials annexed to General Assembly resolution 51/59 of 12 December 1996.
In establishing a domestic regulatory and supervisory regime under the terms of this article, and without prejudice to any otherarticle of this Convention, States Parties are called upon to use as a guideline the relevant initiatives of regional, interregional and multilateral organizations against money-laundering.
In developing codes of conducts, article 8, paragraph 3, of the UNCAC requires States parties to take note of relevant initiatives of regional, interregional and multilateral organizations, such as the International Codeof Conduct for Public Officials annexed to General Assembly Resolution 51/59 of 12 December 1996.
In its resolution 63/195, the General Assembly urged UNODC to continue providing technical assistance to Member States to combat money-laundering through the Global Programme against Money-Laundering, in accordance with related United Nations instruments and internationally accepted standards, including, where applicable and appropriate,recommendations from relevant intergovernmental bodies, such as the Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering, and relevant initiatives of regional, interregional and multilateral organizations against money-laundering.
For the purposes of implementing the provisions of this article, each State Party shall, where appropriate and in accordance with the fundamental principlesof its legal system, take note of the relevant initiatives of regional, interregional and multilateral organizations, such as the International Code of Conduct for Public Officials contained in the annex to General Assembly resolution 1/59 of 12 December 1996.
Urges the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime to continue to provide technical assistance to Member States to combat money-laundering and the financing of terrorism through the Global Programme against Money-Laundering, in accordance with United Nations-related instruments and internationally accepted standards, including, where applicable,recommendations of relevant intergovernmental bodies, inter alia, the Financial Action Task Force and relevant initiatives of regional, interregional and multilateral organizations against money-laundering;

UNODC was tasked by the General Assembly, most recently in resolutions 66/177 and 66/181, in addition to prior resolutions, to continue providing technical assistance to Member States to combat money-laundering and the financing of terrorism through the Global Programme against Money-Laundering, Proceeds of Crime and the Financing of Terrorism, in accordance with United Nations instruments and internationally accepted standards, including, where applicable, recommendations of relevant intergovernmental bodies, inter alia,FATF, and relevant initiatives of regional, interregional and multilateral organizations to counter money-laundering.
In this connection, the Group took note of relevant initiatives of some regional organizations or forums.
The strategic plan should provide a coherent approach to the strengthening in national institutions responsible for environmental management activities andshould also facilitate actions on the environmental action plans and initiatives of relevant regional intergovernmental bodies.
In addition, pursuant to article 14 of the Convention against Corruption,Member States are called upon to use the relevant initiatives against money-laundering of regional, interregional and multilateral organizations as a guideline in establishing domestic frameworks to combat money-laundering.
Speakers also reported on the establishment of national institutions and bodies to facilitate international cooperation, on the development of relevant tools, such as training manuals,and on the undertaking of other relevant initiatives at the regional and subregional levels.

Welcomes the synergistic support of the United Nations Geographic Information Working Group for coordinating its efforts with relevant initiatives of the United Nations Regional Cartographic Conference for Asia and the Pacific for mutual and complementary benefit.
