Before concluding, I should like to underscore several matters.

With regard to disarmament, I should like to underscore the slow pace of disarmament, and the credence and acknowledgement that should be given to the measures being undertaken and the continued commitment to the peaceful uses of nuclear energy under globally agreed conditions.
I should like to underscore the organic relationship between the Security Council as a whole and the membership at large of the United Nations, pursuant to Article 24 of the Charter, in order to address the question of the accountability and transparency of the actions of the Security Council vis-à-vis the Members of the Organization.
