On 14 September,an SMM mini UAV spotted an IFV(BMP-2) near Petrivske.
It saw anti-tank mines near Petrivske, some for the first time.
He also organized work at the disengagement area in Petrivske.
The SMM also facilitated repairs to the Petrivske pumping station near Artema.
The SMM again saw mines near Novoluhanske anda mine hazard sign for the first time near Petrivske.
Moreover, another UAV spotted one stationary BMP-1 in Petrivske, outside the disengagement area.
An armed“DPR” member in Petrivske could not ensure safety for the SMM to travel west from the village.

The SMM saw that some trenches inside the Petrivske disengagement area had been partially filled.

The SMM observed at least 14 armed“DPR” members in military-style clothes, including two snipers,walking up and down the road in Petrivske.
Seibert also mentioned the disengagement of troops near Petrivske and Bohdanivka last weekend after the disengagement near Stanytsia Luhanska and Zolote.
In Bohdanivka, Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel told the SMM that anti-tank mineswere still in place on the road to Viktorivka and Petrivske, and that they had no plans to clear the mines.
The agreements on start of the disengagement of forces in Petrivske and Zolote were reached at a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on October 1.
In addition to the issues of ceasefire and the situation in Stanytsia Luhanska, the Security Working Group also discussed the topic of renewal of the disengagement of forces andhardware in Zolote and Petrivske.
On 14 January in Petrivske, armed“DPR” members told the SMM that it would not be allowed to access the camera site without an escort.
Due to the presence of mines, including those on a road between Bohdanivka and Petrivske, the SMM's access to its camera in Petrivske remains limited;
At a“DPR” checkpoint east of the Petrivske disengagement area an armed“DPR” member was unable to ensure the security of the patrol in the disengagement area.
Outside the disengagement area, the same UAV spotted for the first time 55 anti-tank mines, laid out in two curved rows in a field about 200m east of itseastern edge and about 500m south of Petrivske.[3].
However, after two months, the SMM could travel from Petrivske to Donetsk via“DPR”-controlled Styla(34km south of Donetsk) as the road had been demined.
On 18 June, an SMM mini-unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) spotted at least six craters(not visible in imagery from 1 June 2018)near a position of the armed formations on the south-eastern edge of the Petrivske disengagement area.
In October 2019,a new agreement was reached on the disengagement near Zolote and Petrivske, however it has been postponed twice due to failure to observe ceasefire.
While driving eastwards through Petrivske, the SMM noticed a suspicious object, half-buried in a shallow pit at the end of a ditch extending across the road, 300m east-south-east of the SMM camera in Petrivske.
On 22 December, an SMM mini-UAV spotted about 110 anti-tank mines(TM-62)on the north-eastern edge of the Petrivske disengagement area(in rows extending both inside and outside the disengagement area) for the first time.
According to the poll by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation and the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, the majority of Ukrainian citizens(59%) are positive about the disengagement of forces near Stanytsia Luhanska,Zolote and Petrivske.
By the same decision, Dmitrovka and Petrivske Tolonunskoyi village council of Kyiv-Svyatoshynsky area were combined in one village Petrivske(1963.№ 26, p. 612.614).
After reaching agreements on disengagement of forces near Stanytsia-Luhanska, Zolote and Petrivske, the Ukrainian government announced its intentions to continue this process along the entire contact line.
In Luhansk city the SMM followed up on reports that anelectricity company had cut power to the Petrivske pumping station on 5 December, thus stopping the supply of water from the pumping station to Luhansk city.
Aerial imagery of 5 September available to the SMM revealed that trenchesassessed as belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces within the Petrivske disengagement area had been extended by approximately 65m in southerly directions, and firing positions in the trenches had been upgraded with sandbags, compared with imagery taken on 23 August.
