Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say,' This is a marvellous thing!

When Our enlightening revelations are recited to them, the disbelievers, of the truth which has come to them, say," This is plain magic".
И когато им бяха четени ясните Ни знамения, неверниците казваха за истината, след като дойде при тях:“ Това е явна магия.”.

Yet whenever a warner has come to them, it only increased their aversion* because of how proud they had acted on earth and plotted evil.
А когато дойде при тях[Мухаммад като] предупредител, това само увеличи тяхното отвращение, от надменност на земята и лукавство в злината.

And when Our clear verses are recited to them, the disbelievers say regarding the Truth that has come to them,“ This is an obvious magic!”.

There is nothing to prevent men from believing when the guidance has come to them, and asking for their Lord 's forgiveness, unless they want the example of earlier people visited upon them, or the punishment to appear right before their eyes?
И какво пречи на хората да повярват, когато им се яви напътствието, и да молят своя Господ за опрощение, или трябва да ги сполети съдбата на предците, или да дойде мъчението насреща им?.

And now that a Book has come to them from God, fulfilling that[ predictions about the final prophet in their scriptures] which is with them, they deny it, whereas previously they used to pray for victory against the disbelievers, yet when there came to them that which they recognized as the truth, they rejected it.
И щом при тях дойде от Аллах Книгата, потвърждаваща онова, което е у тях- а още отпреди бяха молили за помощ срещу неверниците,- и щом при тях дойде онова, което[ вече] знаеха, не повярваха в него.

And what is there to keep back men from believing now that Guidance has come to them nor from praying for forgiveness from their Lord but that(they ask that) the ways of the ancients be repeated with them or the Wrath be brought to them face to face?
И какво пречи на хората да повярват, когато им се яви напътствието, и да молят своя Господ за опрощение, или трябва да ги сполети съдбата на предците, или да дойде мъчението насреща им?.

And how are they behaving now towards a Book which has come to them from Allah? Inspite of the fact that it confirms the Scriptures which they already possessed. and, inspite of the fact that, before it came, they used to pray for a signal victory over the disbelievers, they rejected it when it came, although they recognized it.
И щом при тях дойде от Аллах Книгата, потвърждаваща онова, което е у тях- а още отпреди бяха молили за помощ срещу неверниците,- и щом при тях дойде онова, което[ вече] знаеха, не повярваха в него.

What prevented people from accepting faith, when guidance has come to them, and from seeking their Lord s forgiveness'? Unless they are waiting for the precedent of the ancients to befall them, or to have the punishment come upon them face to face?
И какво пречи на хората да повярват, когато им се яви напътствието, и да молят своя Господ за опрощение, или трябва да ги сполети съдбата на предците, или да дойде мъчението насреща им?.

How can a warning benefit them? The Apostle who explained all things clearly had come to them.

And they did not differ until the knowledge had come to them.
