These symptoms include anxiety, sleeping problems, depression, abnormal thinking, abnormal dreams.
This abnormal thinking and behaviour can consist of one or more of a variety of manifestations including anxiety, depression, paranoid ideation, delusions, hallucinations, confusion, psychotic-like behaviour, disorientation, aggressive behaviour, agitation, and delirium.
Common: severe neuropathy(mainly peripheral), dizziness, nervousness, insomnia,depression, abnormal thinking, hypokinesia, abnormal gait, hypaesthesia, taste perversion, headache.
Common: peripheral neurologic symptoms including peripheral neuropathy, paresthesia, and peripheral neuritis; dizziness; abnormal dreams; headache,insomnia; abnormal thinking; somnolence.

Common: abnormal dreams, confusion, disorientation, nightmares, sleepwalking, depression, sleep disorder, cataplexy, anxiety, insomnia, middle insomnia, nervousness Uncommon: psychosis,paranoia, abnormal thinking, hallucination, agitation, suicide attempt, initial insomnia Not known: suicidal ideation.
Reactions like restlessness, agitation, irritability, aggressiveness, abnormal thinking, delusion, rages, nightmares, depersonalisation, hallucinations, psychoses, inappropriate behaviour, extroversion that seems out of character and other behavioural effects have been reported following use of any medicines belonging to the sleep inducing group, including Sonata.
The most common side effects when taking Zerit(seen in between 1 and 10 patients in 100) are peripheral neuropathy(damage to the nerves in the extremities causing tingling, numbness and pain in the hands and feet), diarrhoea, nausea, abdominal(tummy) pain, dyspepsia(heartburn), fatigue(tiredness), lipodystrophy(redistribution of body fat), dizziness,insomnia(difficulty sleeping), abnormal thinking, somnolence(sleepiness), depression, rash, pruritus(itching) and hyperlactataemia(elevated lactic acid levels in the blood).
Reactions like restlessness, agitation, irritability, decreased inhibition,aggressiveness, abnormal thinking, delusions, rages, nightmares, depersonalisation, hallucinations, psychoses, inappropriate behaviour, extroversion that seems out of character and other adverse behavioural reactions are known to occur when using benzodiazepines or benzodiazepine-like agents.
Psychosis(a mental disorder that may involve hallucinations, incoherent speech, or disorganized and agitated behavior),paranoia, abnormal thinking, hallucination, agitation, suicide attempt, difficulty in falling asleep, restless legs, weight loss, forgetfulness, myoclonus(involuntary contractions of muscles), involuntary passage of feces, rash, increased blood pressure.
