Hyperlipidaemia(high cholesterol levels), diabetes and smoking.
Lipodystrophy(including lipohypertrophy, lipodystrophy, lipoatrophy), hypertriglyceridaemia, hypercholesterolaemia, hyperlipidaemia.
Lipids: hyperlipidaemia has been identified as an effect associated with the use of bexarotene in clinical studies.
When prescribing Kivexa, action should be taken to try to minimize all modifiable risk factors(e.g. smoking, hypertension, and hyperlipidaemia).
Common: hyperglycaemia, hyperlipidaemia, insomnia, synovial disorder, arthrosis, muscular weakness, back pain, breast pain, gynaecomastia.
When prescribing Triumeq, action should be taken to try to minimize all modifiable risk factors(e.g. smoking, hypertension, and hyperlipidaemia).
In a 6 week study 129 patients with mixed hyperlipidaemia were randomised to fenofibrate 160 mg plus 3.8 g Cholestagel or fenofibrate alone.
Vascular occlusion adverse events were more frequent with increasing age and in patients with prior history of ischaemia, hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidaemia.
Common: diabetes mellitus, hypercholesterolaemia, hyperlipidaemia, hypertriglyceridaemia, hyperglycaemia, decreased appetite, hypocalcaemia, hypokalaemia.
RA patients have an increased risk for cardiovascular disorders andshould have risk factors(e.g. hypertension, hyperlipidaemia) managed as part of usual standard of care.
Uncommon: hyperlipidaemia, vomiting, abdominal pain, increased aspartate aminotransferase, rash(including maculopapular rash), allergic dermatitis, pruritus.
Information on interfering substances or limitations(e.g. visual evidence of hyperlipidaemia or haemolysis, age of specimen) that may affect the performance of the device;
Common: electrolyte imbalance(including hypomagnesaemia, hyperkalaemia, hypokalaemia, hyponatraemia, hypocalcaemia, hypercalcaemia, hyperphosphataemia), diabetes mellitus, hyperglycaemia, hypercholesterolaemia, hyperlipidaemia, hypertriglyceridaemia.
Patients with significant riskfactors for cardiovascular events(e. g. hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes mellitus, smoking) should only be treated with celecoxib after careful consideration(see 5.1).
These results are consistent in patients with heterozygous familialhypercholesterolaemia, nonfamilial forms of hypercholesterolaemia, and mixed hyperlipidaemia, including patients with noninsulin-dependent diabetes mellitus.
The following clinical safety features(hepatotoxicity, hyperlipidaemia, bleeding events, rash) were seen at higher frequency among APTIVUS/ ritonavir treated patients when compared with the comparator arm treated patients in the RESIST trials, or have been observed with APTIVUS/ ritonavir administration.
Combination antiretroviral therapy may also cause raised lactic acid andsugar in the blood, hyperlipidaemia(increased fats in the blood) and resistance to insulin.
Uncommon: upper respiratory tract infection, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidaemia, abnormal dreams, hypoaesthesia, disturbance in attention, somnolence, dyspepsia, eructation, increased aspartate aminotransferase, allergic dermatitis, urticaria, dermatitis, night sweats, myalgia, muscle spasms, asthenia.
DESCARTES was an international, multicentre, double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled,52-week study in 901 patients with hyperlipidaemia who received diet alone, atorvastatin, or a combination of atorvastatin and ezetimibe.
In clinical studies,0.1% of patients(7 out of 4846 patients with primary hyperlipidaemia and mixed dyslipidaemia and 0 out of 80 patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia) treated with at least one dose of Repatha tested positive for binding antibody development(4 of these patients had transient antibodies).
Common: metabolic acidoses, other electrolyte abnormalities, hyponatraemia, fluid overload, hyperuricaemia, hypomagnesaemia, hypokalaemia, hypocalcaemia, appetite decreased, hypercholesterolaemia, hyperlipidaemia, hypertriglyceridaemia, hypophosphataemia uncommon: dehydration, hypoglycaemia, hypoproteinaemia, hyperphosphataemia.
Patients with risk factors(e.g. hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes) or a history of cardiac disease(e.g. prior percutaneous coronary intervention, documented coronary artery disease) should be monitored carefully for clinical signs or symptoms consistent with cardiac dysfunction such as chest pain, shortness of breath, and diaphoresis.
Patients with significant risk factors for cardiovascular events(e.g. hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes mellitus, smoking) should only be treated with celecoxib after careful consideration(see section 5.1).
Patients with significant riskfactors for cardiovascular events(e. g. hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes mellitus, smoking) should only be treated with etoricoxib after careful consideration(see section 5.1).
Patients with significant risk factors for cardiovascular events(e. g. hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes mellitus, smoking) should only be treated with parecoxib sodium after careful consideration(see section 5.1).
Patients with significant risk factors for cardiovascular events(e.g. hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes mellitus, smoking) should only be treated with strontium ranelate after careful consideration(see sections 4.3 and 4.8).
