ആ രണ്ട് പേരില്( യൂസുഫിന്റെ രണ്ട് ജയില് സുഹൃത്തുക്കളില്) നിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടവന് ഒരു നീണ്ടകാലയളവിന് ശേഷം( യൂസുഫിന്റെ കാര്യം)ഓര്മിച്ച് കൊണ്ട് പറഞ്ഞു: അതിന്റെ വ്യാഖ്യാനത്തെപ്പറ്റി ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് വിവരമറിയിച്ചു തരാം. നിങ്ങള്( അതിന്) എന്നെ നിയോഗിച്ചേക്കൂ.He said:'Before any food comes to feed eitherof you, I will give you its interpretation. That which I will tell you has been taught to me by Allah. I reject the belief of a nation who do not believe in Allah and disbelieve in the Everlasting Life.
അവന്( യൂസുഫ്) പറഞ്ഞു: നിങ്ങള്ക്ക്( കൊണ്ടുവന്ന്)നല്കപ്പെടാറുള്ള ഭക്ഷണം നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് വന്നെത്തുന്നതിന്റെ മുമ്പായി അതിന്റെ വ്യാഖ്യാനം ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് വിവരിച്ചുതരാതിരിക്കുകയില്ല. എന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവ് എനിക്ക് പഠിപ്പിച്ചുതന്നതില് പെട്ടതത്രെ അത്. അല്ലാഹുവില് വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവരും പരലോകത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കുന്നവരുമായിട്ടുള്ളവരുടെ മാര്ഗം തീര്ച്ചയായും ഞാന് ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.And of the two the one who was released said- andafter a long time he had remembered-“I will tell you its interpretation, therefore send me forth.”.

Said one of them,'I dreamed that I was pressing grapes. Said the other,'I dreamed that I was carrying on my head bread,that birds were eating of. അദ്ദേഹത്തോടൊപ്പം മറ്റു രണ്ടു ചെറുപ്പക്കാരും ജയിലിലകപ്പെട്ടു. അവരിലൊരാള് പറഞ്ഞു:" ഞാന് മദ്യം പിഴിഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നതായി സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.” മറ്റെയാള് പറഞ്ഞു:" ഞാനെന്റെ തലയില് റൊട്ടി ചുമക്കുന്നതായുംപക്ഷികള് അതില് നിന്ന് തിന്നുന്നതായും സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഇതിന്റെ വ്യാഖ്യാനം പറഞ്ഞുതരിക. താങ്കളെ നല്ല ഒരാളായാണ് ഞങ്ങള് കാണുന്നത്.”.It is He who sent down upon thee the Book, wherein are verses clear that are the Essence of the Book, and others ambiguous. As for those in whose hearts is swerving, they follow the ambiguous part, desiring dissension, and desiring its interpretation; and none knows its interpretation, save only God. And those firmly rooted in knowledge say,'We believe in it; all is from our Lord'; yet none remembers, but men possessed of minds.
അവനാണ് നിനക്ക് ഈ വേദം ഇറക്കിത്തന്നത്. അതില് വ്യക്തവും ഖണ്ഡിതവുമായ വാക്യങ്ങളുണ്ട്. അവയാണ് വേദഗ്രന്ഥത്തിന്റെ കാതലായ ഭാഗം. തെളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്ത ചില വാക്യങ്ങളുമുണ്ട്. മനസ്സില് വക്രതയുള്ളവര് കുഴപ്പമാഗ്രഹിച്ച് ആശയവ്യക്തതയില്ലാത്ത വാക്യങ്ങളുടെ പിറകെ പോവുകയും അവയെ വ്യാഖ്യാനിക്കാന് ശ്രമിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. എന്നാല്അവയുടെ ശരിയായ വ്യാഖ്യാനം അല്ലാഹുവിനേ അറിയുകയുള്ളൂ. അറിവില് പാകത നേടിയവര് പറയും:" ഞങ്ങളതില് വിശ്വസിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. എല്ലാം ഞങ്ങളുടെ നാഥനില് നിന്നുള്ളതാണ്." ബുദ്ധിമാന്മാര് മാത്രമേ ആലോചിച്ചറിയുന്നുള്ളൂ.Two young men went to prison with him. One of them said:'I saw(in a vision) that I was pressing grapes' And the other said:'I saw(in a vision) that I was carrying bread upon my head,and that birds ate of it. Tell us its interpretation, for we can see you are among the good'.
അദ്ദേഹത്തോടൊപ്പം മറ്റു രണ്ടു ചെറുപ്പക്കാരും ജയിലിലകപ്പെട്ടു. അവരിലൊരാള് പറഞ്ഞു:" ഞാന് മദ്യം പിഴിഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നതായി സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.” മറ്റെയാള് പറഞ്ഞു:" ഞാനെന്റെ തലയില് റൊട്ടി ചുമക്കുന്നതായുംപക്ഷികള് അതില് നിന്ന് തിന്നുന്നതായും സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഇതിന്റെ വ്യാഖ്യാനം പറഞ്ഞുതരിക. താങ്കളെ നല്ല ഒരാളായാണ് ഞങ്ങള് കാണുന്നത്.”.It is He who has sent down to you the Book. Those whose hearts are swerving with disbelief, follow the obscure desiring sedition and desiring its interpretation, but no one knows its interpretation except Allah.
