I dissociate myself from you and whatever you invoke besides Allah. I will supplicate my Lord. Hopefully, I will not be disappointed in supplicating my Lord.
They will say,"Did there not come to you your messengers with clear proofs?" They will say,"Yes." They will reply,"Then supplicate[yourselves], but the supplication of the disbelievers is not except in error.
They should rather have been pleased with what God and His Prophet had given them, and said:"God is sufficient for us; He will give us of His largesse as will His Apostle. We supplicate no one but God.
So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive.
Those to whom We have given the Book rejoice in what is sent down to you, while some factions reject a part of it. Say:'I am commanded to worship Allah and to associate none with Him. To Him I supplicate, and to Him I turn.
They said supplicate for us unto thy Lord that He make manifest unto us whatever she should be, for verily the cow hath become dubious unto us and verily we, if God will, shall beguided.
And when they board a ship, they supplicate Allah, sincere to Him in religion. But when He delivers them to the land, at once they associate others with Him.
If you supplicate to them they cannot hear your supplication, and if they heard, they cannot answer you. On the Day of Resurrection they will disown your associating. None can tell you like He who is the Aware.
They said: supplicate for us unto thy Lord that He make manifest unto us whatever she should be. He said: verily He saith, she should be a cow neither old nor young, but middle-aged betwixt that; do then as ye are commanded.
To Allah belong the Best Names, so supplicate Him by them, and abandon those who commit sacrilege in His names. Soon they shall be requited for what they used to do.
When affliction befalls a man, he supplicates to Us(lying) on his side, sitting or standing. But as soon as We relieve him from his affliction, he continues(in the same way), as though he never supplicated to Us when harm touched him. So it is, that which the sinners were doing seem fairly decorated to them.
Who answers the oppressed when he supplicates to Him and removes evil and appoints you as inheritors of the earth, is there a god with Allah? How little you remember!
When distress befalls people, they supplicate their Lord, turning to Him in penitence. Then, when He lets them taste His mercy, behold, a part of them ascribe partners to their Lord.
They[themselves] are the ones who supplicate, seeking a recourse to their Lord, whoever is nearer[to Him], expecting His mercy and fearing His punishment.' Indeed your Lord's punishment is a thing to beware of.
Do not turn away those who supplicate their Lord morning and evening, seeking His magnificence. You are not accountable for them in the least, nor they for you at all. If you drive them away you will only be unjust.
