جو کوئی الله کی راہ میں ہجرت کرے گا وہ زمین میں بہت سے ٹھکانے اور بڑی وسعت پائے گا۔

تو کیوں نہ ہوئے تم میں سے اگلی سنگتوں(قوموں) میں ایسے جن میں بھلائی کا کچھ حصہ لگا رہا ہوتا کہ زمین میں فساد سے روکتے ہاں ان میں تھوڑے تھے وہی جن کو ہم نے نجات دی اور ظالم اسی عیش کے پیچھے پڑے رہے جو انہیں دیا گیا اور وہ گنہگار تھے

اور ہم نے بہت سی وه بستیاں تباه کر دیں جو اپنی عیش و عشرت میں اترانے لگی تھیں، یہ ہیں ان کی رہائش کی جگہیں جو ان کے بعد بہت ہی کم آباد کی گئیں اور ہم ہی ہیں آخر سب کچھ کے وارث

And let not the owners of affluence and amplitude among you swear off from giving unto the kindred and the needy and the emigrants in the way of Allah; let them pardon and overlook. Love ye not that Allah should forgive you And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
اور تم میں سے بزرگی اور کشائش والے اس بات پر قسم نہ کھائیں کہ رشتہ داروں اور مسکینوں اور الله کی راہ میں ہجرت کرنے والوں کو نہ دیا کریں گے اور انہیں معاف کرنا اور درگذر کرنا چاہیے کیا تم نہیں چاہتے کہ الله تمہیں معاف کر دے اور الله بخشنے والا نہایت رحم والا ہے

Those who were wrongdoers pursued that in which they had been granted affluence, and they were a guilty lot.
ظالم لوگ تو اس چیز کے پیچھے پڑ گئے جس میں انہیں آسودگی دی گئی تھی اور وہ گنہگار تھے

Those of you who have affluence and means should not refuse to give to the relatives, and the needy, and the emigrants for the sake of God. And let them pardon, and let them overlook. Do you not love for God to pardon you? God is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
اور تم میں سے بزرگی اور کشائش والے اس بات پر قسم نہ کھائیں کہ رشتہ داروں اور مسکینوں اور الله کی راہ میں ہجرت کرنے والوں کو نہ دیا کریں گے اور انہیں معاف کرنا اور درگذر کرنا چاہیے کیا تم نہیں چاہتے کہ الله تمہیں معاف کر دے اور الله بخشنے والا نہایت رحم والا ہے

And when they went back to their families, they used to exult over the believers(by comparing the believers' destitution and their own affluence) and returned speaking of them with jests.
اور جب اپنے گھر والوں کی طرف لوٹتے تو(مومنوں کی تنگ دستی اور اپنی خوش حالی کا موازنہ کر کے) اِتراتے اور دل لگی کرتے ہوئے پلٹتے تھےo

Said the elite of his people, who were faithless and who denied the encounter of the Hereafter and whom We had given affluence in the life of the world:‘This is just a human being like yourselves: he eats what you eat, and drinks what you drink.
اور اس کی قوم کے وہ سردار جو کافر تھے اور آخرت کی حاضری کو جھٹلاتے تھے اور جنہیں ہم نے دنیوی زندگی میں آسودگی دے رکھی تھی۔ وہ کہنے لگے کہ یہ نہیں ہے مگر تمہارے ہی جیسا ایک بشر(آدمی) ہے یہ وہی(خوراک) کھاتا ہے جو تم کھاتے ہو اور وہی(مشروب) پیتا ہے۔ جو تم پیتے ہو
