In the case of Laeijendecker v. UNJSPB concerning a request by a  former participant for a  disability benefit under administrative rule H.5(a) of the Fund, the Tribunal, in its judgement No. 2011-UNAT-158, upheld the decision of the Standing Committee that the request  for the disability benefit submitted by the appellant outside the four-month deadline under administrative rule H.5(a) was time-barred as he had not provided any reasons that could be considered exceptional circumstances to justify a  waiver of the time limit.
The Committee had before it a  letter dated 7 June 1995 from the President of the General Assembly concerning a request by Iraq, under Article 19 of the Charter of the United Nations, on the subject of its arrears.
The Acting President: I should like to draw attention to the second report of the General Committee(A/55/250/Add.1), concerning a request by Equatorial Guinea for the inclusion in the agenda of an  additional item,"Cooperation between the United Nations and the Economic Community of Central African States", and a request  contained in a  letter dated 25 September 2000 from the Permanent Representative of Italy to the United Nations.
The President: This morning, I first draw the attention of representatives to the sixth report of the General Committee(document A/51/250/Add.5), concerning a request by the Secretary-General for the inclusion in the agenda of an  additional item entitled“United Nations reform: measures and proposals”.

On instructions from my Government, I should like to transmit to you herewith a  letter dated 4 January 2001 from Mr. Mohammed Said Al-Sahaf, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, concerning a request for the deportation from Iraq of the Kenyan officer Major Joseph Chelule, who works in the Baghdad liaison office of the United Nations Iraq-Kuwait Observation Mission UNIKOM.

In pursuance of its two previous decisions on this subject, namely No. 6658, adopted at the extraordinary meeting held on 15 July 2006, and No. 6661,adopted at the extraordinary meeting held on 7 August 2006, concerning a request for a  radical and comprehensive examination by the Security Council of the Arab-Israeli conflict, in view of the extreme danger of a  continuation of the present situation to regional and international peace and security;
The third case, Judgement No. 2013-UNAT-348, Sidell v. UNJSPB, concerned a request for a  widow's benefit under article 34 of the Fund's Regulations.
The President: The twelfth report of the General Committee(A/48/250/Add.11) concerns a request by a  number of countries for the inclusion in the agenda of the current session of an  additional item entitled"Observer status for the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in the General Assembly.
With regard to the authors' claim under article 14, paragraph 1, of the Covenant,the State party notes that the present case concerned a request for reversal of judgement, requiring new and important evidence.
The case concerned a request for provisional measures under article 290, paragraph 5, of the Convention submitted by Malaysia in its dispute with Singapore concerning  land reclamation activities carried out by Singapore that allegedly infringed upon Malaysia's rights in and around the Straits of Johor.
