In the area of inter-agency collaboration, INSTRAW was actively involved in and present at the meeting of the Inter-Agency Committee on Women and Gender Equality as part of the follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women, and prepared contributions to the report of the Secretary-General on mainstreaming a gender perspective into all policies and programmes of the United Nations system, which was presented at the coordination segment of the 1997 substantive session of the Economic and Social Council.
