The Peer-to-Peer initiative, launched in February 2018 with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme,helps Ukrainian hromadas and regions to share experience and best practices with municipalities and regions in the EU member states.
The project will be implemented in 2018-2019 and will include regional strategic planning forums, community advisory and training activities for the creation of hromadas' Development Strategies,study visits of the representatives of Ukrainian hromadas to Poland, and an all-Ukrainian conference.
Polish experts emphasised the importance of establishing joint institutions andforming sustainable communication channels between the Ukrainian hromadas and Polish gminas, as this will enable the development of the potential of Ukrainian AHs through the practical experience of the Polish communities.
Decentralisation has become a new Magdeburg Law for Ukrainian amalgamated hromadas.
Exchange of experience and best practices of local self-government between the Ukrainian and EU hromadas is very important and relevant for our country.
