Minister Djelic: We expect a total of $3.9 billion-- mostly from the EBRD and the World Bank.
The information on tax declaration are secret, but the information on property and all unpaid tax duties of those who failed to declare it, shall be made public,announced Minister Djelic.

At this meeting Minister Djelic showed a presentation concerning budget issues related to defense and security.
The total budget for the current year will amount 318.7 billion dinars- 280 billion being allocated for Serbia and the province of Vojvodina, while 38.7 billion will be allocated for the financing of the State Union of Serbia andMontenegro- explained Minister Djelic.

The very announcement of these measures convinced a number of big companies to explore possibilities of investment in Serbia,explained Minister Djelic.- Serbia has been given a new chance, because Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland and Slovenia are to become EU member countries in 2004.
According to Minister Djelic, the adoption of these new fiscal exemptions makes Serbia the European“consumer's basket” most tax-favoring country.
The Finance Minister also reminded that an amount of 62-65 million euros has already been collected through the enforcement of this particular law.“The Law on the Fight against organized crime represents the second element for the introduction of the financial order- the Law that allows seizure of property of all those suspected for connections with organized crime groups”,declared Minister Djelic.
Prime minister Zoran Djindjic, minister Djelic and the OSCE Chief of Mission, Mr. Mark Davison, spoke on the occasion of the conference opening.
Mr. Djelic also explained that all the realized income would be collected in the Serbian treasury, because, as of April 2003, all the excise taxes, customs duties, the flight-over fees… and other federal taxes,are to be brought to the level of the Republic of Serbia… Minister Djelic also announced the correction of the administrative taxes, as well as an increase in the excise tax on oil derivates- with no repercussion on the retail price of these products. Minister Djelic repeated that, since the Serbian Government was formed, the public education, the public health and the judiciary, were set as priorities, and that it will remain that way in the future.
Minister Djelic also said that after more than two decades, Belgrade will have the opportunity to become the world's financial center- by hosting the global financial and business elite.
Minister Djelic categorically denied that this law was specially"designed" for the Kariæ family, because all the apportioned amounts were calculated upon the same rules, and exclusively based on documentation.
According to Minister Djelic, the aggravated international situation, the lower rate of economic growth and the lower level of foreign investment realization also caused the budget rebalancing.
