Eligible collateral 4. The specific issues to be covered could include: prudent collateral management;reinvestment practises of cash received against collateralised securities; re-use of collateral(re-hypothecation); ways to improve transparency both in the markets and for supervisory authorities, and, the role of market infrastructure.
Subject to the agreement of the Board, it should be possible to replace theissuance of eligible liabilities to resolution entities with collateralised guarantees between the resolution entity and its subsidiaries, that can be triggered when the timing conditions equivalent to those allowing the write down or conversion of eligible liabilities are met.
