The EESC strongly believes that genuine partnership which involves all partners as defined in Article 5(1) of the Common Provisions Regulation in the preparation,execution and ex‑post evaluation of projects undertaken in the framework of EU cohesion policy contributes directly to their success; it therefore welcomes that various partners have been defined in Article 5(1) of the Commission's proposals and also that partnership will become a mandatory feature of EU cohesion policy.
