The Commission shall adopt technical amendments to this directive in the following areas.
Amendments to this directive have been eagerly awaited, especially in the new Member States.
The Commission should assess the data and information obtained, and propose,if necessary, amendments to this Directive.
The Commission shallassess in particular the need for any further amendments to this Directive with regard to systems governed by the law of a third country.
The Commission shall take appropriate measures on the basis of these recommendations and shall propose,if necessary, amendments to this Directive.

On the basis of that report, the Commission will, if appropriate,examine options for a proposal containing any amendments to this Directive or other instruments which prove necessary in order to further reduce obstacles to the mobility of workers created by certain rules concerning supplementary pension provision.
