بلکہ وہ کون ہے جو بے قرار شخص کی دعا قبول فرماتا ہے جب وہ اسے پکارے اور تکلیف دور فرماتا ہے اور تمہیں زمین میں(پہلے لوگوں کا) وارث و جانشین بناتا ہے؟ کیا اللہ کے ساتھ کوئی(اور بھی) معبود ہے؟ تم لوگ بہت ہی کم نصیحت قبول کرتے ہو،!

اور(اُس دِن کا حال) خوب سن لیجئے جس دن ایک پکارنے والا قریبی جگہ سے پکارے گا

When trouble toucheth a man, He crieth unto Us(in all postures)- lying down on his side, or sitting, or standing. But when We have solved his trouble, he passeth on his way as if he had never cried to Us for a trouble that touched him! thus do the deeds of transgressors seem fair in their eyes!
انسان کا حال یہ ہے کہ جب اس پر کوئی سخت وقت آتا ہے تو کھڑے اور بیٹھے اور لیٹے ہم کو پکارتا ہے، مگر جب ہم اس کی مصیبت ٹال دیتے ہیں تو ایسا چل نکلتا ہے کہ گویا اس نے کبھی اپنے کسی بُرے وقت پر ہم کو پکارا ہی نہ تھا اس طرح حد سے گزر جانے والوں کے لیے ان کے کرتوت خوشنما بنا دیے گئے ہیں!

I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he crieth unto Me.
یعنی میں جواب دیتا ہوں دعا مانگنے والے کی دعا کا جب وہ مجھے پکارتا ہے

And if misfortune touch a man he crieth unto Us,(while reclining) on his side, or sitting or standing, but when We have relieved him of the misfortune he goeth his way as though he had not cried unto Us because of a misfortune that afflicted him. Thus is what they do made(seeming) fair unto the prodigal.
انسان کا حال یہ ہے کہ جب اس پر کوئی سخت وقت آتا ہے تو کھڑے اور بیٹھے اور لیٹے ہم کو پکارتا ہے، مگر جب ہم اس کی مصیبت ٹال دیتے ہیں تو ایسا چل نکلتا ہے کہ گویا اس نے کبھی اپنے کسی بُرے وقت پر ہم کو پکارا ہی نہ تھا اس طرح حد سے گزر جانے والوں کے لیے ان کے کرتوت خوشنما بنا دیے گئے ہیں

When some trouble toucheth man, he crieth unto his Lord, turning to.
اور جب انسان کو تکلیف پہنچتی ہے تو اپنے رب کو اس کی طرف رجوع کر کے پکارتا ہے(الزمر)

And when My servants question thee concerning Me, then surely I am nigh, I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he crieth unto Me.
اور جب میرے بندے آپ سے میرے بارے میں سوال کریں تو بے شک میں قریب ہوں، مَیں پکارنے والے کی دعا قبول کرتا ہوں جب وہ مجھے پکارتا ہے۔‘

اور جنت والوں نے دوزخ والوں کو پکارا کہ ہمیں تو مل گیا جو سچا وعدہ ہم سے ہمارے رب نے کیا تھا تو کیا تم نے بھی پایا جو تمہارے رب نے سچا وعدہ تمہیں دیا تھا بولے، ہاں! اور بیچ میں منادی نے پکار دیا کہ اللہ کی لعنت ظالموں پر

اور اہل بہشت دوزخیوں سے پکار کر کہیں گے کہ جو وعدہ ہمارے پروردگار نے ہم سے کیا تھا ہم نے تو اسے سچا پالیا۔ بھلا جو وعدہ تمہارے پروردگار نے تم سے کیا تھا تم نے بھی اسے سچا پایا؟ وہ کہیں گے ہاں تو(اس وقت) ان میں ایک پکارنے والا پکارے گا کہ بےانصافوں پر خدا کی لعنت

From out of the populous city men groan, And the soul of the wounded crieth out: Yet God regardeth not the folly.
شہر سے مرنے والوں کی آہیں نکلتی ہیں اور زخمی لوگ مدد کے لئے چیختے چلّاتے ہیں۔ اِس کے باوجود اللہ کسی کو بھی مجرم نہیں ٹھہراتا

And when My servants ask thee concerning Me, then I am nigh unto them and answer the cry of him that crieth unto Me'(2:186).
جب میرے بندے آپ سے میری نسبت سوال کریں تو(بتا دیا کریں کہ) میں نزدیک ہوں، میں پکارنے والے کی پکار کا جواب دیتا ہوں جب بھی وہ مجھے پکارتا ہے۔‘

And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
پھر اُس نے کہا تو نے کیا کِیا؟ تیرے بھائی کا خون زمین سے مجھکو پُکارتا ہے۔
