(1) The employer shall provide equal remuneration for the same or equal work.
The Equal Remuneration Convention(No.100), 1951 calls for equal remuneration for men and women, for work of equal value.

Having decided upon the adoption of certain proposals with regard to the principle of equal remuneration for men and women workers for work of equal value, which is the seventh item on the agenda of the session.

Everyone has a right to the enjoyment of just and favourable work conditions, including safety in the work place,fair wages, equal remuneration for work of equal value,equal opportunities, reasonable hours of work and rest, as well as the rights to organise and bargain collectively.
(b) Fair wages and equal remuneration for work of equal value without distinction of any kind, in particular women being guaranteed conditions of work not inferior to those enjoyed by men, with equal pay for equal work;
Protect the rights of persons with disabilities, on an equal basis with others, to just and favourable conditions of work,including equal opportunities and equal remuneration for work of equal value, safe and healthy working conditions, including protection from harassment and the redress of grievances;
Fair wages and equal remuneration for work of equal value without distinction of any kind, and in particular, women being guaranteed conditions of work, including pension or retirement benefits, not inferior to those enjoyed by men, with equal pay for equal work; and.
Each Member shall, by means appropriate to the methods in operation for determining rates of remuneration, promote and, in so far as is consistent with such methods,ensure the application to all workers of the principle of equal remuneration for men and women workers for work of equal value.
