המלך מנשה.

And there was no king more evil than Manasseh.

ואין לך מלך רשע יותר מאחאב….

And Manasseh, his son, reigned in his place.

And Pekahiah, הבן שלו, מלך במקומו.

ויולד ליוסף בארץ מצרים אשר ילדה לו אסנת בת פוטי פרע כהן אן את מנשה ואת אפרים׃.

ויתע מנשה את יהודה וישבי ירושלם לעשות רע מן הגוים אשר השמיד יהוה מפני בני ישראל׃.

ויהי אחרי הדברים האלה ויאמר ליוסף הנה אביךחלה ויקח את שני בניו עמו את מנשה ואת אפרים׃.

But they hearkened not: and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel.

ולא שמעו ויתעם מנשה לעשות את הרע מן הגוים אשר השמיד יהוה מפני בני ישראל׃.

And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.

ונתתים לזועה לכל ממלכות הארץ בגלל מנשה בן יחזקיהו מלך יהודה על אשר עשה בירושלם׃.

But they didn't listen: and Manasseh seduced them to do that which is evil more than the nations did whom Yahweh destroyed before the children of Israel.

ולא שמעו ויתעם מנשה לעשות את הרע מן הגוים אשר השמיד יהוה מפני בני ישראל׃.

And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

ויברכם ביום ההוא לאמור בך יברך ישראל לאמר ישמך אלהים כאפרים וכמנשה וישם את אפרים לפני מנשה׃.

Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh; and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

מנשה את אפרים ואפרים את מנשה יחדו המה על יהודה בכל זאת לא שב אפו ועוד ידו נטויה׃.

And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick:and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.

ויהי אחרי הדברים האלה ויאמר ליוסף הנה אביךחלה ויקח את שני בניו עמו את מנשה ואת אפרים׃.

As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zillethai, captains of thousands who were of Manasseh.

בלכתו אל ציקלג נפלו עליו ממנשה עדנח ויוזבד וידיעאל ומיכאל ויוזבד ואליהוא וצלתי ראשי האלפים אשר למנשה׃.

He blessed them that day, saying,"In you will Israel bless,saying,'God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh'" He set Ephraim before Manasseh..

ויברכם ביום ההוא לאמור בך יברךישראל לאמר ישמך אלהים כאפרים וכמנשה וישם את אפרים לפני מנשה׃.

As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that were of Manasseh.

בלכתו אל ציקלג נפלו עליו ממנשה עדנח ויוזבד וידיעאל ומיכאל ויוזבד ואליהוא וצלתי ראשי האלפים אשר למנשה׃.

Why wold Joshua have to hold a lottery if they already knew the holdings of the tribes of Dan and Naphtali,of the tribes of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Judah?

בשביל מה צריך היה יהושע להפיל גורל אם ידוע כבר מקומם של שבטדן ושבט נפתלי ושבטי אפרים ומנשה ויהודה?
