Measures taken to implement this Directive;
Each Member State shall inform the Commission of the measures which it adopts to implement this Directive.

The Commission must publish a report on the experience of GMOs placed on the market anda summary of the measures taken by EU countries to implement this directive every 3 years.
(20) The measures necessary to implement this Directive should be adopted in accordance with Council Decision 1999/468/EC of 28 June 1999 laying down the procedures for the exercise of implementing powers conferred on the Commission(7).
Member States may further specify aspects of the definition of editorial responsibility, notably the notion of"effective control",when adopting measures to implement this Directive.
(30) The measures needed to implement this Directive are measures of a general nature within the meaning of Article 2 of Council Decision 99/468/EC of 28 June 1999 laying down the procedures for the exercise of implementing powers conferred on the Commission.
The representatives of the Union in the governing bodies of the European Bank for Reconstruction andDevelopment are encouraged to implement this Directive and to publish on its website AML/CFT policies, containing detailed procedures that would give effect to this Directive. .
Whenever new domestic provisions,enacted to implement this Directive, grant a broader right of access to a lawyer than was previously available under national law, the rules currently in place on legal aid should apply with no distinction between the two situations;
(15) Whereas the opening-up of contracts in the sectors covered by this Directive might have adverse effects upon the economies of the Hellenic Republic and the Portuguese Republic, which will have to endure considerable strain;whereas it is appropriate that these member States be granted adequate additional periods to implement this Directive.
Whereas the Commission should be charged with adopting measures to implement this Directive; whereas, to that end, a procedure should be set up establishing close and effective cooperation between the Commission and the Member States within the Standing Veterinary Committee;
Without prejudice to their criminal law provisions, Member States shall ensure that penalties or measures aimed at ending observed breaches or the causes of such breaches may be imposed on mixed financial holding companies, or their effective managers, which infringe laws, regulations oradministrative provisions enacted to implement this Directive.
