To that end, Mrs. Af Ugglas, the Swedish Foreign Minister and Chairman-in-Office of the CSCE,had an exchange of letters with the Secretary-General of the United Nations last May with a view to establishing a framework for cooperation and coordination between the United Nationsand the CSCE. On 30 October last the General Assembly adopted a resolution inviting the CSCE to participate in its work as an Observer.
