Substances that are inducers of CYP3A4 activity(e.g. dexamethasone, phenytoin, carbamazepine, rifampicin, phenobarbital, fosphenytoin,primidone or Hypericum perforatum, also known as St. John's Wort) may significantly reduce exposure to Glivec, potentially increasing the risk of therapeutic failure.
Concomitant use of dasatinib and medicinal products that induce CYP3A4(e.g. dexamethasone, phenytoin, carbamazepine, rifampicin,phenobarbital or herbal preparations containing Hypericum perforatum, also known as St. John's Wort) may substantially reduce exposure to dasatinib, potentially increasing the risk of therapeutic failure.
Therefore the concomitant use of vinflunine and potent CYP3A4 inhibitors(such as ritonavir, ketoconazole, itraconazole and grapefruit juice)or inducers(such as rifampicin and Hypericum perforatum(St John's wort)) should be avoided since they may increase or decrease vinflunine and DVFL concentrations(see section 4.4 and 5.2).
