As concerns travel of representatives of Member States that are least developed countries, the Advisory Committee recalls paragraph I.9 of its first report on the proposed programme budget for the biennium 2000-2001,6 in which itrequested the Secretariat to ensure that the least developed countries were duly informed, before the start of the Assembly each year, of their entitlement to payment of travel costs to attend sessions of the Assembly in accordance with Assembly resolutions 1798(XVII) of 11 December 1962 and 41/213 of 19 December 1986.
In accordance with Assembly resolution 51/6 of 24 October 1996, the Secretary-General of the International Seabed Authority made a statement.
Chapter V reviews the action taken by the Committee in accordance with Assembly resolution 63/26, including action taken in the Assembly and the Security Council and the participation of the Committee Chairman in the debates of these two principal organs of the United Nations.
