For all areas, the intention was to establish an inventory of existing compilation guidelines and country practices and, where applicable, to propose new guidelines and recommendations so designed as to encourage countries to draw on them for the compilation, dissemination and communication of early warning and business cycle indicators.
In response to the request of the Statistical Commission to develop diagnostic tools, compilation guidelines and training materials to support the implementation of the SEEA Central Framework and strengthen supporting statistics(see para. 1(c) above), the Statistics Division, in collaboration with various international and regional agencies, the London Group on Environmental Accounting and countries, is in the process of developing a number of outputs, which are described below.
