It was recalled that in accordance with article 4 of the Fund's Regulations, the Fund is administered by the Pension Board, staff pension committees and the secretariat of each committee.

The President recalled that in accordance with resolution 58/282 of 9 February 2004, the Assembly decided to convene a commemorative plenary meeting in  2007, on a date to be decided by the Assembly at the sixtieth session.
The Chairperson, drawing attention to paragraphs 2, 3 and 5 of article 43 of the Convention, recalled that in accordance with article 43, as amended, nine Committee members were to be elected for a term of four years by secret ballot from a list of persons nominated by States parties.
ACABQ recalled that in accordance with General Assembly resolutions 47/209 B and 49/233, the procedure with regard to the disposition of assets of missions to be liquidated called for the Secretary-General to present a report to the General Assembly on the procedures which he proposed for the disposition of such assets.
The Chair, drawing attention to paragraphs 2, 3 and 5 of article 43 of the Convention, recalled that in accordance with article 43, as amended, the nine Committee members to replace those whose terms would expire on 28 February 2013 were to be elected for a term of four years by secret ballot from a list of persons nominated by States parties.
The Chair recalled that in accordance with resolutions 55/285 and 58/316, all cooperation items would be clustered under an item entitled"Cooperation between the United Nations and regional and other organizations.
The President recalled that in accordance with paragraph 4(b) of the annex to Assembly resolution 58/316 of 1 July 2004, agenda items 30, 31 and 33 would remain on the agenda for consideration upon notification by a Member State.
The Working Group recalled that in accordance with its multi-year workplan, it would hold in  2012 a workshop with member States and international intergovernmental organizations making presentations pursuant to the invitations extended in  2010 and 2011.
The Chairman recalled that in accordance with General Assembly resolution 58/316, section C, paragraph 3(d), the practice of"question time" had been introduced into all Main Committees with a view to enabling a dynamic and candid exchange with heads of departments and offices.
Introducing the sub-item,the Co-Chair recalled that in accordance with decision XX/7, the Secretariat had convened a oneday workshop on the management and destruction of banks of ozonedepleting substances immediately before the twenty-ninth meeting of the Open-ended Working Group.
The secretariat recalled that in accordance with the CECI Programme of Work in  focus area"Creating a supportive environment for innovative development and knowledge-based competitiveness", the TOS-ICP is expected to contribute to the following main activities and outputs in  2008.
The Chairman recalled that in accordance with General Assembly resolution 57/28 the Ad Hoc Committee established under resolution 56/89 had reconvened in  March 2003 to continue the discussion on measures to enhance the existing protective legal regime for United Nations and associated personnel.
The Joint Working Group recalled that in accordance with article III of the existing Agreement between ILO and IMO(1959) any joint ILO-IMO committee should regulate its own procedure. It was also recalled that  the Basel Convention Conference of the Parties, by its decision VII/25, had agreed to this arrangement.
The Chairman recalled that in accordance with rule 99(a) of the rules of procedure, as amended by General Assembly resolution 56/509, as well as rule 103, as amended by General Assembly resolution 58/126, annex B, paragraph 9, all the Main Committees were required to elect a chairman and a full bureau.
The representative of the Secretariat recalled that in accordance with decision XVI/6, each party granted a critical-use exemption for methyl bromide was required to submit information on the quantities of the substance that  it produced, imported or exported in accordance  with that  exemption.
The President recalled that in accordance with paragraph(b) of the annex to Assembly resolution 58/316 of 1 July 2004, the Assembly had decided that  agenda item 48 be considered every three years by the Assembly and that,  accordingly, agenda item 48 will be included in  the provisional agenda of the sixty-second session.

She recalled that in accordance with decision 98/4, UNFPA had reported on the country and subregional programmes of Algeria, China, Egypt, Nicaragua, the Pacific subregion and Paraguay, in  the report of the Executive Director for 1998(DP/FPA/1999/7(Part III)), which had been considered by the Executive Board at its annual session in  June 1999.
The representative of the Secretariat recalled that in accordance with decision VIII/9, each party granted essentialuse exemptions was required to submit by 31 January of each year an accounting framework report on the quantities and uses of the ozonedepleting substances it consumed and produced for essential uses in  the previous year.
He recalled that in accordance with the agreements between the presidents of Russia and France, Dmitry Medvedev and Nicolas Sarkozy on August 12, 2008, the problem of refugees and displaced persons, along with the issues of security and humanitarian sphere was being considered at the Geneva discussions, where the UN serves as co- moderator and where have been competently represented South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
Dr Kasatkina recalled that in accordance with current practice used by WG-SAM and WG-FSA in  the presence of questionable CPUE values(kg/thousand hooks or kg km-1) it is recommended to analyse:(i) reconciliation of vessel monitoring system(VMS) data with reported catch location data;(ii) the relationship between hauling duration and СPUE; and(iii) the relationship between hauling speed and CPUE.
The President recalled that in accordance with paragraph(b) of the annex to Assembly resolution 58/316 of 1 July 2004, the Assembly had decided to include agenda items 29 to 34 and 42 in  the agenda of the fifty-ninth session and that, in accordance  with the same resolution, these items had been included in  the draft agenda of the sixtieth session upon notification by Member States.
The President recalled that in accordance with resolutions 58/117 of 17 December 2003 and 58/239 of 23 December 2003, the Secretary-General had been requested to submit a complete consolidated report on the implementation of all the relevant resolutions on Central America at the sixtieth session under this item and that,  accordingly, agenda item 26 had been included in  the draft agenda of the sixtieth session.
The Chair recalled that in accordance with objective III/2 of the Strategic Plan 2009- 2014 the Parties had agreed to endeavour to gradually widen the range of environmental information that  was made available to the public, inter alia, by developing and implementing mechanisms enabling more informed consumer choices with regard to products, thereby contributing to more sustainable pattern of production and consumption.
The President recalled that in accordance with Assembly decision 59/567 of 12 September 2005, the Assembly had decided to include agenda item 154 in  the draft agenda of the sixtieth session and that,  pursuant to Assembly resolution 55/285 of 7 September 2001, this item had been included in  the draft agenda of the sixty-first session as a sub-item of the item entitled"Cooperation between the United Nations and regional and other organizations.
Introducing the sub-item,the representative of the Secretariat recalled that in accordance with decision BC-10/9 a small intersessional working group had been established and, chaired to date by Canada, had developed a draft programme of work for updating the general technical guidelines on persistent organic pollutants under the Convention and for preparing or updating specific guidelines with regard to ten persistent organic pollutants recently listed in  the annexes to the Stockholm Convention.
