On 8 November, the sponsors, joined by Belgium,Greece and Norway submitted a revised draft resolution(A/C.1/49/L.44/Rev.1), which was later also sponsored by Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Turkey.
On 9 November, Afghanistan, Georgia, South Africa, Sri Lanka,Turkmenistan and Zimbabwe submitted a revised draft resolution(A/C.1/50/L.37/Rev.1), which was later also sponsored by Bangladesh, Bhutan, Botswana, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Guatemala, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Madagascar, the Sudan and Swaziland.
On 11 November, the sponsors, now joined by Finland, Honduras, Japan, the Marshall Islands, Norway, Sweden andthe former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, submitted a revised draft resolution(A/C.1/48/L.8/Rev.2), which was later also sponsored by Italy, New Zealand, Paraguay and Portugal, and in which the word"arsenals" was replaced by the words"nuclear-weapon programmes" in the twelfth preambular paragraph.
On 9 November, France, Kazakstan, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland andthe United States of America submitted a revised draft resolution( A/C.1/50/L.35/Rev.1), which was later also sponsored by Australia, Argentina, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Turkey.
The CHAIRMAN suggested that Mr. Banton should consult members informally and submit a revised draft of his proposal at a later date.
