Never said I to them aught except what Thou didst command me.
നീ എന്നോടാജ്ഞാപിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളതല്ലാതൊന്നും ഞാന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല.Taste therefore. We shall not increase you in aught but torment.

The day on which a friend shall not avail(his) friend aught, nor shall they be helped.
അന്നാളില് ഒരു കൂട്ടുകാരന്നും തന്റെ ഉറ്റവനെ ഒട്ടും ഉപകരിക്കുകയില്ല. ആര്ക്കും ഒരുവിധ സഹായവും ആരില്നിന്നും കിട്ടുകയുമില്ല.And fear a Day whereon not in aught shall a soul satisfy for a soul, nor shall compensation be accepted therefor, nor shall intercession profit it, nor shall they be succoured.
ആര്ക്കും മറ്റുള്ളവര്ക്കായി ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാനാവാത്ത; ആരുടെയും പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം സ്വീകരിക്കാത്ത; ആര്ക്കും ആരുടെയും ശിപാര്ശ ഉപകരിക്കാത്ത; ആര്ക്കും ഒരുവിധ സഹായവും ലഭിക്കാത്ത ആ നാളിനെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുക.Verily Allah wrongeth not mankind in aught but mankind wrong themselves.
തീര്ച്ചയായും അല്ലാഹു മനുഷ്യരോട് ഒട്ടും അനീതി കാണിക്കുന്നില്ല. എങ്കിലും മനുഷ്യര് അവരവരോട് തന്നെ അനീതി കാണിക്കുന്നു.And they have no knowledge thereof; they follow but a vain opinion,and verily a vain opinion attaineth not aught of the truth.
അവര്ക്ക് അതേക്കുറിച്ച് ഒരറിവുമില്ല. അവര് ഊഹത്തെ മാത്രം പിന്പറ്റുകയാണ്. ഊഹമോ, സത്യത്തിന് ഒരു പ്രയോജനവും ചെയ്യുകയില്ല.He said: These are my daughters, if you will do(aught).
അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: ഇതാ എന്റെ പെണ്മക്കള്.( അവരെ നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് വിവാഹം കഴിക്കാം.) നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ചെയ്യാം എന്നുണ്ടെങ്കില്.Whoever brings good, he shall have better than it, and whoever brings evil,those who do evil shall not be rewarded(for) aught except what they did.
നന്മയുമായി വരുന്നവന് അതിനെക്കാള് മെച്ചമായതു പ്രതിഫലമായി കിട്ടും. എന്നാല്ആരെങ്കിലും തിന്മയുമായി വരുന്നുവെങ്കില് അവര് പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചതിനനുസരിച്ച പ്രതിഫലമേ അവര്ക്കുണ്ടാവുകയുള്ളൂ.Verily Allah shall not Forgive that aught be associated with Him, and He will forgive all else unto whomsoever He listeth. And whosoever associateth aught with Allah, he hath of a surety fabricated a mighty sin.
തന്നോട് പങ്കുചേര്ക്കപ്പെടുന്നത് അല്ലാഹു ഒരിക്കലും പൊറുക്കുകയില്ല. അതൊഴിച്ചുള്ളതെല്ലാം അവന് ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നവര്ക്ക് അവന് പൊറുത്തുകൊടുക്കുന്നതാണ്. ആര് അല്ലാഹുവോട് പങ്കുചേര്ത്തുവോ അവന് തീര്ച്ചയായും ഗുരുതരമായ ഒരു കുറ്റകൃത്യമാണ് ചമച്ചുണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.And give unto women dowries as a gift, and if of themselves they give up aught thereof unto you, then eat it in pleasure and profit.
സ്ത്രീകള്ക്ക് അവരുടെ വിവാഹമൂല്യങ്ങള് മനഃസംതൃപ്തിയോട് കൂടി നിങ്ങള് നല്കുക. ഇനി അതില് നിന്ന് വല്ലതും സന്മനസ്സോടെ അവര് വിട്ടുതരുന്ന പക്ഷം നിങ്ങളത് സന്തോഷപൂര്വ്വം സുഖമായി ഭക്ഷിച്ചു കൊള്ളുക.
On that day they shall follow the inviter, there is no crookedness in him, and the voices shall be low before the Beneficent Allah so thatyou shall not hear aught but a soft sound.
അന്ന് അവര് ഒരു വിളിയാളനെ ഒട്ടും സങ്കോചമില്ലാതെ പിന്തുടരും. സകലശബ്ദവും പരമകാരുണികനായ അല്ലാഹുവിന് കീഴൊതുങ്ങും. അതിനാല് നേര്ത്ത ശബ്ദമല്ലാതൊന്നും നീ കേള്ക്കുകയില്ല.Those who reject Faith,- neither their possessions nor their(numerous)progeny will avail them aught against Allah: They will be companions of the Fire,-dwelling therein(for ever).
സത്യനിഷേധികളെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം അവരുടെ സ്വത്തുകളോ സന്താനങ്ങളോ അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ശിക്ഷയില് നിന്ന് അവര്ക്ക് ഒട്ടും രക്ഷനേടികൊടുക്കുന്നതല്ല. അവരാണ് നരകാവകാശികള്. അവരതില് നിത്യവാസികളായിരിക്കും.And when it is said unto them: come to that which Allah hath sent down and to the apostle, they say: enough for us is that whereon we found our fathers. What!even though their fathers knew not aught nor were guided?
അല്ലാഹു ഇറക്കിത്തന്നതിലേക്കും അവന്റെ ദൂതനിലേക്കും വരാന് ആവശ്യപ്പെടുമ്പോള് അവര് പറയുന്നു:" ഞങ്ങളുടെ പൂര്വപിതാക്കള് നടന്നതായി ഞങ്ങള് കാണുന്നപാതതന്നെ ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു മതി.” അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് ഒന്നുമറിയാത്തവരും നേര്വഴി പ്രാപിക്കാത്തവരുമാണെങ്കിലോ?Reclining unto Allah, not associating aught with Him. And whosoever associateth aught with Allah, it is as though he had fallen from the heaven and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had blown him to a place remote.
അല്ലാഹുവില് ഒന്നിനെയും പങ്കുചേര്ക്കാതെ ഉറച്ചമനസ്സോടെ അവനിലേക്കു തിരിയുക. അല്ലാഹുവിന് പങ്കാളികളെ കല്പിക്കുന്നവന് ആകാശത്തുനിന്ന് വീണവനെപ്പോലെയാണ്. അങ്ങനെ പക്ഷികള് അവനെ റാഞ്ചിയെടുക്കുന്നു. അല്ലെങ്കില് കാറ്റ് അവനെ ഏതെങ്കിലും വിദൂരദിക്കില് കൊണ്ടുപോയിത്തള്ളുന്നു.Beside Allah? They will say: they have failed us: aye!we have not been calling upon aught afore. Thus doth Allah lead the infidels astray.
അല്ലാഹുവെക്കൂടാതെ…?" അവര് പറയും:" ആ പങ്കാളികള് ഞങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു. അല്ല; ഞങ്ങള് മുമ്പ് ഒന്നിനെയും വിളിച്ചുപ്രാര്ഥിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല." ഇങ്ങനെയാണ് അല്ലാഹു സത്യനിഷേധികളെ വഴികേടിലാക്കുന്നത്.They do not wait aught but that the angels should come to them or that the commandment of your Lord should come to pass. Thus did those before them; and Allah was not unjust to them, but they were unjust to themselves.
ഈ ജനത്തിനെന്താണ് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാനുള്ളത്? അവരുടെ അടുത്ത് മലക്കുകള് വരുന്നതോ അല്ലെങ്കില് നിന്റെ നാഥന്റെ കല്പന വന്നെത്തുന്നതോ അല്ലാതെ. അവ്വിധം തന്നെയാണ് അവര്ക്ക് മുമ്പുള്ളവരും ചെയ്തത്. അല്ലാഹു അവരോട് ഒരക്രമവും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല. അവര് തങ്ങളോടുതന്നെ അക്രമം കാണിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.And I have followed the creed of my fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.Not ours is it to associate aught with God. That is of God's bounty to us, and to men; but most men are not thankful.
എന്റെ പിതാക്കളായ ഇബ്റാഹീമിന്റെയും ഇസ്ഹാഖിന്റെയും യഅ്ഖൂബിന്റെയും മാര്ഗമാണ് ഞാന് പിന്പറ്റുന്നത്. അല്ലാഹുവില് ഒന്നിനെയും പങ്കുചേര്ക്കാന് നമുക്ക് അനുവാദമില്ല. അല്ലാഹു ഞങ്ങള്ക്കും മറ്റു മുഴുവന് മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും നല്കിയ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളില്പ്പെട്ടതാണിത്. എങ്കിലും മനുഷ്യരിലേറെപ്പേരും നന്ദി കാണിക്കുന്നില്ല.Being upright for Allah, not associating aught with Him and whoever associates(others) with Allah, it is as though he had fallen from on high, then the birds snatch him away or the wind carries him off to a far-distant place.
അല്ലാഹുവില് ഒന്നിനെയും പങ്കുചേര്ക്കാതെ ഉറച്ചമനസ്സോടെ അവനിലേക്കു തിരിയുക. അല്ലാഹുവിന് പങ്കാളികളെ കല്പിക്കുന്നവന് ആകാശത്തുനിന്ന് വീണവനെപ്പോലെയാണ്. അങ്ങനെ പക്ഷികള് അവനെ റാഞ്ചിയെടുക്കുന്നു. അല്ലെങ്കില് കാറ്റ് അവനെ ഏതെങ്കിലും വിദൂരദിക്കില് കൊണ്ടുപോയിത്തള്ളുന്നു.And I have followed the creed of my fathers, Ibrahim and Is'haq and ya'qub:it is not for us to associate aught with Allah. That is of Allah's and upon mankind; but grace upon us most of mankind thank not.

എന്റെ പിതാക്കളായ ഇബ്റാഹീമിന്റെയും ഇസ്ഹാഖിന്റെയും യഅ്ഖൂബിന്റെയും മാര്ഗമാണ് ഞാന് പിന്പറ്റുന്നത്. അല്ലാഹുവില് ഒന്നിനെയും പങ്കുചേര്ക്കാന് നമുക്ക് അനുവാദമില്ല. അല്ലാഹു ഞങ്ങള്ക്കും മറ്റു മുഴുവന് മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും നല്കിയ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളില്പ്പെട്ടതാണിത്. എങ്കിലും മനുഷ്യരിലേറെപ്പേരും നന്ദി കാണിക്കുന്നില്ല.And they have taken beside Him gods creating not aught and are themselves created, owning for themselves neither hurt nor benefit, and owning not death nor life nor resurrection.
എന്നിട്ടും ഈ ജനം അവനെക്കൂടാതെ പല ദൈവങ്ങളെയും സങ്കല്പിച്ചുണ്ടാക്കി. എന്നാല് അവര് ഒന്നിനെയും സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നില്ല. എന്നല്ല, അവര്തന്നെ സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരാണ്. തങ്ങള്ക്കുതന്നെ എന്തെങ്കിലും ഉപകാരമോ ഉപദ്രവമോ ചെയ്യാനുള്ള കഴിവുപോലും അവര്ക്കില്ല. മരിപ്പിക്കാനോ ജീവിപ്പിക്കാനോ ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിക്കാനോ അവര്ക്കാവില്ല.And We wronged them not but they wronged themselves. So their gods, whom they called upon beside Allah,availed them not in aught, when there came the decree of thy Lord, and they added unto them naught but perdition.
നാം അവരോട് അക്രമം ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല. പക്ഷെ അവര് അവരോട് തന്നെ അക്രമം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുകയാണുണ്ടായത്. എന്നാല് നിന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്റെ കല്പന വന്ന സമയത്ത്അല്ലാഹുവിന് പുറമെ അവര് വിളിച്ച് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ച് കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന അവരുടെ ദൈവങ്ങള് അവര്ക്ക് യാതൊരു ഉപകാരവും ചെയ്തില്ല. അവര്( ദൈവങ്ങള്) അവര്ക്ക് നാശം വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുക മാത്രമാണ് ചെയ്തത്.And those who associate say: had God willed we would not have worshipped aught beside Him, neither we nor our fathers, nor we would have forbidden aught without Him. Like-wise did those before them. Naught is then on the apostles except a preaching plain?
ബഹുദൈവ വിശ്വാസികള് പറഞ്ഞു:" അല്ലാഹുഇച്ഛിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കില് ഞങ്ങളോ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോ അവനെക്കൂടാതെ ഒന്നിനെയും പൂജിക്കുമായിരുന്നില്ല. അവന്റെ വിധിയില്ലാതെ ഒന്നും നിഷിദ്ധമാക്കുമായിരുന്നില്ല.” അവര്ക്കു മുമ്പുള്ളവരും ഇതുതന്നെ ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. സന്ദേശം വ്യക്തമായി എത്തിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുകയെന്നതല്ലാത്ത എന്തു ബാധ്യതയാണ് ദൈവദൂതന്മാര്ക്കുള്ളത്?Say thou: O people of the Book! come to a word common between us and between you; that we shall worship none save Allah's andthat we shall not associate aught with Him, and that none of you shall take others as Lords beside Allah. Then if they turn away, say: bear witness that verily we are Muslims.
പറയുക: വേദവിശ്വാസികളേ, ഞങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളും ഒന്നുപോലെ അംഗീകരിക്കുന്ന തത്ത്വത്തിലേക്കു വരിക. അതിതാണ്:" അല്ലാഹു അല്ലാത്ത ആര്ക്കും നാം വഴിപ്പെടാതിരിക്കുക;അവനില് ഒന്നിനെയും പങ്കുചേര്ക്കാതിരിക്കുക; അല്ലാഹുവെ കൂടാതെ നമ്മില് ചിലര് മറ്റുചിലരെ രക്ഷാധികാരികളാക്കാതിരിക്കുക." ഇനിയും അവര്പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നുവെങ്കില് പറയുക:" ഞങ്ങള് മുസ്ലിംകളാണ്. നിങ്ങളതിന് സാക്ഷികളാവുക.And those who associate say: had God willed we would not have worshipped aught beside Him, neither we nor our fathers, nor we would have forbidden aught without Him. Come now to a word common between us and you, that we serve none but God,and that we associate not aught with Him, and do not some of us take others as Lords, apart from God.' And if they turn their backs, say: 'Bear witness that we are Muslims.'.
