Requests the SecretaryGeneral to ensure(a) continued monitoring and reporting of the situation of children, and(b) continued dialogue with the parties to the conflict towards the preparation of timebound action plans to end the recruitment and use of child soldiers and other violations against children;
Decides to request the SecretaryGeneral to ensure the provision of appropriate staff and facilities from the United Nations regular budget for the effective and expeditious performance of the functions of the Committee, and invites the Committee to continue to enhance its constructive dialogue with the States parties and its transparent and effective functioning;
Encourages the SecretaryGeneral to ensure implementation of the joint work plan,to continue to elaborate this plan on an annual basis, reflecting all aspects of work under way and the lessons learned, to identify obstacles/impediments and areas for further collaboration, and to submit them to the Commission on Human Rights and to the Commission on the Status of Women on a regular basis;
