The financial contribution, provided for in Article 2 of the Agreement,to scientific or technical programmes designed to boost research on fisheries and to improve the management of fishery resources and the monitoring of the exploitation of those resources, shall be set at six million ECU for the period referred to in Article 1.
Of the amount of total financial compensation provided for in Article 2(1) Mauritania shall allocate, for the period referred to in Article 1,the sum of ECU 350 000 towards the financing of scientific and technical programmes to improve biological and fishery resource information as regards the Mauritanian fishing zone.
The Community will contribute an additional EUR 618 750 to financing scientific and technical programmes to promote better understanding and management of fisheries and living resources, the implementation of an appropriate fisheries monitoring and control surveillance scheme, study grants and practical training courses in the various scientific, technical and economic fields linked to fishing and to cover the costs of attending international meetings relating to fisheries.
The Community shall contribute during che period referred to in Article 1 che sum of ECU900 000 towards che financing of scientific and technical programmes to improve biological and fishery resource información as regards che Mauritanian fishing zone.
The sum of ECU 900 000 from thistotal will go towards the financing of scientific and technical programmes in the Mauritanian fishing zone and ECU 360 000 of the total will be devoted to study and practical training relating to fisheries.2.
The Community is granting financial compensation of ECU 4 300 000 andis contributing ECU 1 950 000 to the financing of scientific and technical programmes as well as to a reconnaissance campaign to find new resources for which it has allocated ECU 600 000.
The overall financial contribution is set at EUR 1 262 500 per year,most of it intended to finance scientific and technical programmes to promote a better understanding of fisheries and living resources, the protection and surveillance of fish ing zones and institutional support for the authority responsible for fisheries.
During the period referred to in Article 1, the Community shall also contribute EUR1 700000 towards the financing of Angolan scientific and technical programmes equipment, infrastnicturc, monitoring, seminars, studies, institutional support for non-industrial fishing, etc.
The overall financial contribution is set at EUR 1 262 500 per year,most of it intended to finance scientific and technical programmes to promote better understanding of the fisheries and living resources of the Gabonese Exclusive Economic Zone(EEZ) and a programme for the protection and surveillance of fishing zones.
During the period referred to in Article 1, the Community shall also contribute ECU5 million towards the financing of Angolan scientific and technical programmes equipment, infrastructure, monitoring seminars, studies, institutional support for non-industrial fishing, etc.
The financial compensation is fixed at EUR 350 250 per year and EUR 210 250 for the measures concerning assistance for the development of non-industrial fishing,financing of scientific and technical programmes and the participation of Comorian delegates in international meetings concerning fisheries, the Comoros' contribution to regional fisheries organisations and the financing of study grants and practical training courses in the fisheries field.
