Evil is the example of those who belied Our verses; they wronged themselves.
बुरे है मिसाल की दृष्टि से वे लोग, जिन्होंने हमारी आयतों को झुठलाया और वे स्वयं अपने ही ऊपर अत्याचार करते रहे।

And you dwelt in the dwelling-places of those who wronged themselves, and it became clear to you how We did with them, and how We struck similitudes for you.
तुम लोगों की बस्तियों में रह-बस चुके थे, जिन्होंने अपने ऊपर अत्याचार किया था और तुमपर अच्छी तरह स्पष्ट हो चुका था कि उनके साथ हमने कैसा मामला किया और हमने तुम्हारे लिए कितनी ही मिशालें बयान की थी।

And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves.
जो एक नेकोसार नबी थे और हमने खुद इबराहीम पर और इसहाक़ पर अपनी बरकत नाज़िल की और इन दोनों की नस्ल में बाज़ तो नेकोकार और बाज़(नाफरमानी करके) अपनी जान पर सरीही सितम ढ़ाने वाला।

And you lived among the dwellings of those who wronged themselves, and it had become clear to you how We dealt with them. And We presented for you[many] examples.
तुम लोगों की बस्तियों में रह-बस चुके थे, जिन्होंने अपने ऊपर अत्याचार किया था और तुमपर अच्छी तरह स्पष्ट हो चुका था कि उनके साथ हमने कैसा मामला किया और हमने तुम्हारे लिए कितनी ही मिशालें बयान की थी।

And those of Jewry-- We have forbidden them what We related to thee before, and We wronged them not, but they wronged themselves.
और यहूदियों पर हमने वह चीज़े हराम कर दीं थी जो तुमसे पहले बयान कर चुके हैं और हमने तो(इस की वजह से) उन पर कुछ ज़ुल्म नहीं किया।

And you dwelt in the houses of those who had wronged themselves and it became very clear to you how We had dealt with them, and We illustrated several examples for you.”.
तुम लोगों की बस्तियों में रह-बस चुके थे, जिन्होंने अपने ऊपर अत्याचार किया था और तुमपर अच्छी तरह स्पष्ट हो चुका था कि उनके साथ हमने कैसा मामला किया और हमने तुम्हारे लिए कितनी ही मिशालें बयान की थी।

We forbade the Jews those things We told you about before. We did not wrong them; rather they wronged themselves.
जो यहूदी है उनपर हम पहले वे चीज़े हराम कर चुके है जिनका उल्लेख हमने तुमसे किया। उनपर तो अत्याचार हमने नहीं किया, बल्कि वे स्वयं ही अपने ऊपर अत्याचार करते रहे।

And you dwelt in the dwellings of those(earlier peoples) who wronged themselves(and were destroyed), and when it was made clear to you how We dealt with them and We set forth examples for you.”.

We had made unlawful for the Jews all that we told you before. We did not do any wrong to them but they wronged themselves.

And especially for the Jews We forbade which We related to you earlier; and We did not oppress them, but it is they who wronged themselves.

And those of Jewry-- We have forbidden them what We related to thee before, and We wronged them not, but they wronged themselves.

We did not wrong them; they wronged themselves; the deities they called on besides God availed them nothing: when God's command came upon them, they only added to their ruin.

And to those who are Jews We prohibited what We have related to you already, and We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves.
जो कुछ हम आपको पहले बता चुके हैं, उन सबको हमने यहूदियों के लिए वर्जित कर दिया और हमने उन पर अत्याचार नहीं किया बल्कि उन्होंने स्वयं अपने ऊपर अत्याचार किया है।

The wealth they spend in this worldly life is like a freezing wind that smites the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves and destroys it. Allah has not wronged them, but they wronged themselves.
इस सांसारिक जीवन के लिए जो कुछ भी वे ख़र्च करते है, उसकी मिसाल उस वायु जैसी है जिसमें पाला हो और वह उन लोगों की खेती पर चल जाए, जिन्होंने अपने ऊपर अत्याचार नहीं किया, अपितु वे तो स्वयं अपने ऊपर अत्याचार कर रहे है।

Are they looking for the angels to come down or the order of your Lord to come? As such did those who have gone before them. Allah did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves.
क्या अब वे इसी की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे है कि फ़रिश्ते उनके पास आ पहुँचे या तेरे रब का आदेश ही आ जाए? ऐसा ही उन लोगो ने भी किया, जो इनसे पहले थे। अल्लाह ने उनपर अत्याचार नहीं किया, किन्तु वे स्वयं अपने ऊपर अत्याचार करते रहे।

What they spend in the life of this world is like a frosty wind which smites and destroys the crops of a people who had wronged themselves. God did not wrong them, they wronged themselves.
इस सांसारिक जीवन के लिए जो कुछ भी वे ख़र्च करते है, उसकी मिसाल उस वायु जैसी है जिसमें पाला हो और वह उन लोगों की खेती पर चल जाए, जिन्होंने अपने ऊपर अत्याचार नहीं किया, अपितु वे तो स्वयं अपने ऊपर अत्याचार कर रहे है।

Are they waiting for the angels to come to them, or the fulfillment of your Lord's will? Those who went before them did the same. God did not wrong them; rather they wronged themselves.
क्या अब वे इसी की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे है कि फ़रिश्ते उनके पास आ पहुँचे या तेरे रब का आदेश ही आ जाए? ऐसा ही उन लोगो ने भी किया, जो इनसे पहले थे। अल्लाह ने उनपर अत्याचार नहीं किया, किन्तु वे स्वयं अपने ऊपर अत्याचार करते रहे।

The likeness of that they expend in this present life is as the likeness of a freezing blast that smites the tillage of a people who wronged themselves, and it destroyed that; God wronged them not, but themselves they wronged..
इस सांसारिक जीवन के लिए जो कुछ भी वे ख़र्च करते है, उसकी मिसाल उस वायु जैसी है जिसमें पाला हो और वह उन लोगों की खेती पर चल जाए, जिन्होंने अपने ऊपर अत्याचार नहीं किया, अपितु वे तो स्वयं अपने ऊपर अत्याचार कर रहे है।

What! Do the(unbelievers) expect that the angels should descend, or the sentence of your Lord come to pass? So had the people done before them; yet God did not wrong them, they wronged themselves.
क्या अब वे इसी की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे है कि फ़रिश्ते उनके पास आ पहुँचे या तेरे रब का आदेश ही आ जाए? ऐसा ही उन लोगो ने भी किया, जो इनसे पहले थे। अल्लाह ने उनपर अत्याचार नहीं किया, किन्तु वे स्वयं अपने ऊपर अत्याचार करते रहे।

Are they(the disbelievers) waiting for the angels and the decree of your Lord to be fulfilled before they believe? The people who lived before them had also done the same thing. God did not do injustice to them, but they wronged themselves.
क्या अब वे इसी की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे है कि फ़रिश्ते उनके पास आ पहुँचे या तेरे रब का आदेश ही आ जाए? ऐसा ही उन लोगो ने भी किया, जो इनसे पहले थे। अल्लाह ने उनपर अत्याचार नहीं किया, किन्तु वे स्वयं अपने ऊपर अत्याचार करते रहे।
