They said,“O our people, we have heard a Scripture, sent down after Moses, confirming what came before it.
کہنے لگے کہ اے قوم! ہم نے ایک کتاب سنی ہے جو موسیٰ کے بعد نازل ہوئی ہے۔ جو(کتابیں)اسے سے پہلے

(This is) a Scripture that We have revealed unto thee, full of blessing, that they may ponder its revelations, and that men of understanding may reflect.
یہ ایک کتاب ہے کہ ہم نے تمہاری طرف اتاری برکت والی تاکہ اس کی آیتوں کو سوچیں اور عقلمند نصیحت مانیں

Or have ye a scripture wherein ye learn.
یا تمہاری کوئی کتاب ہے جس میں یہ سب پڑھا کرتے ہو

(It is) a Scripture that is revealed unto thee(Muhammad)- so let there be no heaviness in thy heart therefrom- that thou mayst warn thereby, and(it is) a Reminder unto believers.
اے محبوب! ایک کتاب تمہاری طرف اُتاری گئی تو تمہارا جی اس سے نہ رُکے اس لیے کہ تم اس سے ڈر سناؤ اور مسلمانوں کو نصیحت

You know there is a scripture that say“we know each other by the spirit!”.
وہ پڑھنا لکھنا جانتے۔ کوئی تو ہوتا جو یہ دعویٰ کرتا کہ…”اُردو ہماری زبان ہے۔‘

Or have you a Scripture wherein you learn that you shall indeed have all that you choose?
کیا تمہارے پاس کوئی کتاب ہے جس میں تم پڑھتے ہو؟ اس میں تمہارے لیے وہی کچھ ہے جو پسند کرتے ہو!‘‘?

They said: O our people! Lo! we have heard a scripture which hath been revealed after Moses, confirming that which was before it, guiding unto the truth and a right road.
بولے اے ہماری قوم ہم نے ایک کتاب سنی کہ موسیٰ کے بعد اتاری گئی اگلی کتابوں کی تصدیق فرمائی حق اور سیدھی راہ دکھائی

Alif, Lam, Ra. A Scripture whose Verses were perfected, then elaborated, from One who is Wise and Informed.
الٓرا۔ یہ وہ کتاب ہے جس کی آیتیں مستحکم ہیں اور خدائے حکیم وخبیر کی طرف سے بہ تفصیل بیان کردی گئی ہے

They said:“Our people, We have heard a Scripture revealed after Moses, verifying the Scriptures revealed before it; it guides to the Truth and to the Straight Way.
بولے اے ہماری قوم ہم نے ایک کتاب سنی کہ موسیٰ کے بعد اتاری گئی اگلی کتابوں کی تصدیق فرمائی حق اور سیدھی راہ دکھائی

Alif, Lam, Ra. A Scripture whose Verses were perfected, then elaborated, from One who is Wise and Informed.
الۤر- یہ وہ کتاب ہے جس کی آیتیں محکم بنائی گئی ہیں اور ایک صاحبِ علم و حکمت کی طرف سے تفصیل کے ساتھ بیان کی گئی ہیں

You are going to meet people who received a Scripture, so let the first thing to which you invite them be to testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah.
تم اہلِ کتاب کی ایک قوم کے پاس جارہے ہو۔ تم انہیں سب سے پہلے اس بات کی گواہی کی طرف دعوت دینا کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبودِ برحق نہیں

There was a Scripture for every age: God erases or confirms whatever He will, and the source of Scripture is with Him.
ہر دور کیلئے ایک کتاب ہے۔ اللہ جو چاہتا ہے مٹا دیتا ہے اور جس چیز کو چاہتا ہے، قائم رکھتا ہے، ام الکتاب اسی کے پاس ہے۔

Or do you have a scripture in which you learn that indeed for you is whatever you choose?
کیا تمہارے لیے کوئی کتاب ہے جس میں پڑھتے ہوکہ تمہارے لیے اس میں جو تم پسند کرو?

Or do you have a scripture in which you learn, That indeed for you is whatever you choose?
کیا تمہارے پاس کوئی کتاب ہے جس میں تم پڑھتے ہو؟ اس میں تمہارے لیے وہی کچھ ہے جو پسند کرتے ہو!‘‘?

Alif. Lam. Ra.(This is) a Scripture the revelations whereof are perfected and then expounded.(It cometh) from One Wise, Informed.
الرٰ، یہ ایک ایسی کتاب ہے کہ اس کی آیتیں محکم کی گئی ہیں، پھر صاف صاف بیان کی گئی ہیں ایک حکیم باخبر کی طرف سے

We have heard a Scripture which has been revealed after Musa, confirming that which was before it, guiding to the truth and to a right path.
