โอ้ลูกเอ๋ยเจ้าจงดำรงไว้ซึ่งการละหมาดและจงใช้กันให้กระทำความดีและจงห้ามปรามกันให้ละเว้นการทำความชั่วและจงอดทนต่อสิ่งที่ประสบกับเจ้าแท้จริงนั่นคือส่วนหนึ่งจากกิจการที่หนักแน่นมั่นคง

No affliction befalls, except it be by the leave of God. Whosoever believes in God, He will guide his heart. And God has knowledge of everything.

Among you is he who lags behind. Then, when a calamity befalls you, he says,“God has favored me, that I was not martyred with them.”.
และแท้จริงในหมู่พวกเจ้านั้นมีผู้ที่ทำชักช้าอยู่หากมีเหตุร้ายใดประสบแก่พวกเจ้าเขาก็กล่าวว่าแท้จริงอัลลอฮฺได้ทรงกรุณาแก่ฉันที่ฉันมิได้ร่วมอยู่กับพวกเขา

And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them,[saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain in faith.
และเมื่อพระดำรัสเกิดขึ้นแก่พวกเขาเราได้ให้สัตว์ออกมาจากแผ่นดินแก่พวกเขาเพื่อกล่าวแก่พวกเขาว่าแท้จริงปวงมนุษย์นั้นไม่ยอมเชื่อมั่นต่อโองการทั้งหลายของเรา

Whatever good befalls you is from Allah; and whatever ill befalls you is from yourself. We sent you as an apostle to mankind, and Allah suffices as witness.
ความดีใดที่ประสบแก่เจ้านั้นมาจากอัลลอฮฺ และความชั่วใดที่ประสบแก่เจ้านั้นมาจากตัวของเจ้าเองและเราได้ส่งเจ้าไปเป็นร่อซูลแก่มนุษย์และเพียงพอแล้วที่อัลลอฮฺทรงเป็นพยาน

And surely among you is he who would certainly hang back! If then a misfortune befalls you he says: Surely Allah conferred a benefit on me that I was not present with them.
และแท้จริงในหมู่พวกเจ้านั้นมีผู้ที่ทำชักช้าอยู่หากมีเหตุร้ายใดประสบแก่พวกเจ้าเขาก็กล่าวว่าแท้จริงอัลลอฮฺได้ทรงกรุณาแก่ฉันที่ฉันมิได้ร่วมอยู่กับพวกเขา

When a calamity befalls you on the sea, all those you invoke fail you except Him. But when He brings you safely to the shore, you turn away, for man is most ungrateful.
และเมื่อทุกขภัยประสบแก่พวกเจ้าในท้องทะเลผู้ที่พวกเจ้าวิงวอนขอก็จะสูญหายไปเว้นแต่พระองค์เท่านั้นต่อมาเมื่อพระองค์ทรงช่วยให้พวกเจ้ารอดพ้นขึ้นบกพวกเจ้าก็หันหลังออกไปและมนุษย์นั้นเป็นผู้เนรคุณเสมอ

Those whose hearts fear when Allah is mentioned, and those who patiently endure whatever befalls them, and those who keep the prayer established, and who spend part of what We have provided to them.
คือบรรดาผู้ที่เมื่อพระนามของอัลลอฮ์ถูกกล่าวขึ้นหัวใจของพวกเขาหวั่นเกรงและบรรดาผู้อดทนต่อสิ่งที่ประสบกับพวกเขาและบรรดาผู้ดำรงการละหมาดและจากสิ่งที่เราได้ให้เป็นเครื่องยังชีพแก่พวกเขาพวกเขาก็บริจาค

When an affliction befalls men, they cry out to their Lord, turning to Him in repentance; but then, when He has made them taste His mercy, a section of them associate partners with their Lord.

If some good befalls them, they say,"This is from Allah"; but if evil, they say,"This is from thee"(O Prophet). Say:"All things are from Allah." But what hath come to these people, that they fail to understand a single fact?
ณ ที่ใดก็ตามที่พวกเจ้าปรากฏอยู่ความตายก็ย่อมมาถึงพวกเจ้าและแม้ว่าพวกเจ้าจะอยู่ในป้อมปราการอันสูงตระหง่านก็ตามและหากมีความดีใดประสบแก่พวกเขาพวกเขาก็จะกล่าวว่าสิ่งนี้มาจากอัลลอฮฺและหากมีความชั่วใดประสบแก่พวกเขาพวกเขาก็จะกล่าวว่าสิ่งนี้มาจากเจ้ากล่าวเถิดมุฮัมมัด ทุกอย่างนั้นมาจากอัลลอฮฺทั้งสิ้นมีเหตุใดเกิดขึ้นแก่กลุ่มชนเหล่านี้กระนั้นหรือที่พวกเขาห่างไกลที่จะเข้าใจคำพูด?

If good befalls you, it grieves them, and if an evil afflicts you, they rejoice at it; and if you are patient and guard yourselves, their scheme will not injure you in any way; surely Allah comprehends what they do.
