اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی طرف سے ان مشرکوں سے براء ت کا اعلان ہے جن سے تم نے معاہدے کر رکھے ہیں۔ سو(اے مشرکو) چار ماہ تک زمین میں چل پھر لو اورجان لو کہ اللہ کے آگے تمہارا کوئی زور نہیں چل سکتا اور یہ کہ اللہ کافروں کو رسوا کر کے رہے گا۔

Confound us not upon the Day of Resurrection.
رسوا نہ کر ہم کو قیامت کے دن[۲۹۵] بیشک

For you will not be confounded, and you will not blush.
آپ شرمندہ نہیں کیا جائے گا کے لئے, اور تم شرمانا نہیں ہوں گے

Confound not the Truth with falsehood nor conceal it knowingly.
حقکو باطل سے مخلوط نہ کرو اور جان بوجھ کر حق کی پردہ پوشی نہ کرو

No; but he refutes and confounds them out of their own mouths.
بلکہ وہ جانبین کو ہلّا شیری دیتا رہتا ہے اوران سے اپنے مقاصد پورے کرتا ہے

Be confounded and ashamed over your own ways, O house of Israel.

That is how to most of the polytheists the slaying of their children is presented as decorous by those whom they ascribe as partners[to Allah], that they may ruin them and confound their religion for them. Had Allah wished, they would not have done it. So leave them with what they fabricate.
اور اسی طرح ان شریکوں نے بہت سے مشرکین کے لئے اولاد کے قتل کو بھی آراستہ کردیا ہے تاکہ ان کو تباہ و برباد کردیں اور ان پر دین کو مشتبہ کردیں حالانکہ خدا اس کے خلاف چاہ لیتا تو یہ کچھ نہیں کرسکتے تھے لہذا آپ ان کو ان کی افترا پردازیوں پر چھوڑ دیں اور پریشان نہ ہوں

It is those who believe and confound not their belief with wrong doing. These! theirs is the security and they are the guided.
وہ جو ایمان لائے اور اپنے ایمان میں کسی ناحق کی آمیزش نہ کی انہیں کے لیے امان ہے اور وہی راہ پر ہیں

And even so their associate-gods have made fair seeming unto many of the associaters the slaying of their offspring, so that they may cause them to perish and that they may confound unto them their religion. And had Allah so willed, they would not have done it. Wherefore let thou alone them and that which they fabricate.
اور اسی طرح بہت سے مشرکین کے خیال میں ان کے معبودوں نے ان کی اوﻻد کے قتل کرنے کو مستحسن بنا رکھا ہے تاکہ وه ان کو برباد کریں اور تاکہ ان کے دین کو ان پر مشتبہ کردیں اور اگر اللہ کو منظور ہوتا تو یہ ایسا کام نہ کرتے تو آپ ان کو اور جو کچھ یہ غلط باتیں بنا رہے ہیں یونہی رہنے دیجئے

اور اسی طرح ان شریکوں نے بہت سے مشرکین کے لئے اولاد کے قتل کو بھی آراستہ کردیا ہے تاکہ ان کو تباہ و برباد کردیں اور ان پر دین کو مشتبہ کردیں حالانکہ خدا اس کے خلاف چاہ لیتا تو یہ کچھ نہیں کرسکتے تھے لہذا آپ ان کو ان کی افترا پردازیوں پر چھوڑ دیں اور پریشان نہ ہوں

O people of the Book! wherefore confound ye the truth with falsehood, and hide the truths While ye know?
اے کتابیو! حق میں باطل کیوں ملاتے ہو اور حق کیوں چھپاتے ہو حالانکہ تمہیں خبر ہے،?
