The monitoring of waters put into bottles or containers intended for sale, other than natural mineral waters,for the purpose of checking that the levels of radioactive substances comply with the parametric values laid down in this Directive should be done in accordance with the principles of hazard analysis and critical control points(HACCP) as required by Regulation(EC) No 852/20048.

Note 1: The parametric value refers to the residual monomer concentration in the water as calculated according to specifications of the maximum release from the corresponding polymer in contact with the water.
