The African countries are aware of the need to adopt and implement measures to  facilitate transit transport in Africa and to  attract the required investments.
Objective: To  strengthen the capacity of member States to  design and implement  appropriate economic and  social policies and  strategies in order that they may achieve sustained economic growth, and to  strengthen their capacity to adopt and implement measures aimed at reducing poverty in their countries.
Viet Nam therefore calls on the United Nations to adopt and implement measures to  facilitate the entry of developing countries into the World Trade Organization.
Following the review, the General Assembly, in paragraphs 80 to  90 of its resolution 61/105, called upon States, inter alia, to  take action immediately, individually and  through RFMO/As, to  sustainably manage fish stocks and protect VMEs from destructive fishing practices, and  to adopt and implement measures to  regulate bottom fisheries.
That should motivate them to adopt and implement measures to  prevent the recurrence of such incidents, and should show them whether such measures had led to the expected results.
The report describes the most vulnerable marine ecosystems and  the impacts of bottom fishing on such ecosystems and outlines actions taken by States and  RFMO/As to adopt and implement measures aimed at regulating bottom fisheriesand  protecting VMEs from destructive fishing practices.
It was highlighted that there was a need to adopt and implement measures, such as the establishment of flexible jurisdictional bases, the extension of statutes of limitations and  the use of new investigative methods and  techniques;
At its sixty-first session, the General Assembly called on States, inter alia, to  take action immediately, individually and  through RFMO/As, to  sustainably manage fish stocks and protect vulnerable marine ecosystems from destructive fishing practices, and  to adopt and implement measures to  regulate bottom fisheries resolution 61/105, paras. 80-90.
Stressing also that it is the responsibility of all States to adopt and implement measures towards the attainment of generaland  complete disarmament under effective international control.
Mindful that it is the responsibility and  obligation of all States to  contribute to  the process of the relaxation of international tension and to  the strengthening of international peace and security and,  in this connection, to adopt and implement measures towards the attainment of generaland  complete disarmament under strict and  effective international control.
In the framework of such forums, Chile has undertaken to adopt and implement measures to  prevent and counter terrorism and to  coordinate and  develop national policies with the relevant bodies.

With respect to  the regulation of bottom fisheries in areas beyond national jurisdiction,paragraph 83 of resolution 61/105 called upon RFMOs with the competence to  regulate bottom fisheries to adopt and implement measures, in accordance with the precautionary approach, ecosystem approaches and  international law, to  regulate bottom fishing activities beyond areas of national jurisdiction.
The Convention requires Parties to adopt and implement measures aiming at reducing or eliminating the release of POPs into the environment with the view to  reducing the exposure of human, animals and  environmental organisms to  them.
Calls upon flag States, members of regional fisheries management organizations or arrangements with the competence to  regulate bottom fisheries and States participating in negotiations to  establish such organizations or arrangements to adopt and implement measures in accordance with paragraphs 83, 85 and  86 of resolution 61/105, paragraph 119 of the present resolution, and  international law, and  consistent with the Guidelines, and  not to  authorize bottom fishing activities until such measures  have been adopted and implemented;
The Convention requires parties to adopt and implement measures aimed at reducing or eliminating the release of persistent organic pollutants into the environment with a view to  protecting human health and  the environment from those substances.
Calls upon regional fisheries management organizations orarrangements with the competence to  regulate bottom fisheries to adopt and implement measures, in accordance with the precautionary approach, ecosystem approaches and  international law, for their respective regulatory areas as a matter of priority, but not later than 31 December 2008.

In paragraph 83 of resolution 61/105,the General Assembly called upon RFMO/As with the competence to  regulate bottom fisheries to adopt and implement measures, in accordance with the precautionary approach, ecosystem approaches and  international law, as a matter of priority, but not later than 31 December 2008, to  regulate bottom fishing activities and  protect VMEs.
The Committee urged the Government to adopt and implement measures, in cooperation with the social partners, to  reduce the large wage gap between menand  women, and to  address the occupational and  sectoral segregation of women in the labour market.
In paragraph 120 of resolution 64/72, the Assembly called upon flag States, members of RFMO/As and States participating in negotiations to  establish RFMO/As to adopt and implement measures in accordance with paragraphs 83, 85 and  86 of resolution 61/105, paragraph 119 of resolution 64/72, and  international law, and  consistent with the FAO Guidelines, and  not to  authorize bottom fishing activities until such measures  have been adopted and implemented.
In particular, resolution 61/105 called upon competent RFMOs and  arrangements to adopt and implement measures by the end of 2008 to  identify vulnerable marine ecosystems, assess proposals for bottom fishing and  ensure that bottom fishing does not proceed if assessed to  have significant adverse impacts on vulnerable marine ecosystems.
This was an open,strategic document that announced national efforts to adopt and implement measures to  suppress the illegal production of and traffic in drugs and to  decrease the illicit supply of drugs within our territory.
In its resolution 61/105,the General Assembly called upon RFMO/As with the competence to  regulate bottom fisheries to adopt and implement measures, in accordance with the precautionary approach, ecosystem approaches and  international law, as a matter of priority, but not later than 31 December 2008, to  regulate bottom fishing activities in areas beyond national jurisdiction.
In paragraph 120 of resolution 64/72, the General Assembly called upon flag States to adopt and implement measures in accordance with paragraphs 83, 85 and  86 of resolution 61/105, paragraph 119 of resolution 64/72, and  international law, and  consistent with the FAO Guidelines, and  not to  authorize bottom fishing activities until such measures  had been adopted and implemented.
In addition, in paragraph 120 of resolution 64/72,the General Assembly called upon States participating in negotiations to  establish RFMO/As to adopt and implement measures in accordance with paragraphs 83, 85 and  86 of resolution 61/105, paragraph 119 of resolution 64/72, and  international law, and  consistent with the FAO Guidelines, and  not to  authorize bottom fishing activities until such measures  have been adopted and implemented.
Chile is therefore committed to adopting and implementing measures to  prevent and  combat terrorismand to  promoting the coordination and  formulation of national policies with the relevant bodies.
