Izložbu su otvorili direktorka Zavoda za zaštitu spomenika kulture grada Beograda Olivera Vučković i pomoćnik gradonačelnika Andreja Mladenović. Na svečanom otvaranju izložbe govorile su i njene autorke arhitekta Aleksandra Šević i istoričar umetnosti Ksenija Ćirić, viši stručni saradnici Zavoda za zaštitu spomenika kulture grada Beograda. Izložbu realizuje Zavod za zaštitu spomenika kulture grada Beograda, u okviru manifestacije" Dani evropske baštine".
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was also addressed by its authors, architect Aleksandra Šević and art historian Ksenija Ćirić, senior associates of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of the City of Belgrade. The exhibition is organized by the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of the City of Belgrade, as part of the“European Heritage Days”.

S obzirom da je reč o zdanju pod zaštitom države- rekonstrukciju su pratili i stručnjaci Zavoda za zaštitu spomenika kulture. Evropska unija je kroz HETIP projekat izdvojila oko 600 hiljada evra za građevinske radove na zgradi Rektorata, jednoj od 27 visokoškolskih ustanova u Srbiji uključenih u projekat građevinskih radova i isporuke savremene nastavne opreme. Od 2000. godine do danas EU je u sektor obrazovanja u Srbiji uložila oko 64 miliona evra.
Since the building is under state protection, the reconstruction was monitored by the experts from the Institute for Protection of Cultural Monuments. Through HETIP project, the European Union allocated around €600,000 to fund construction works on the building of the Rectorate, one of the 27 higher education institutions in Serbia included in the project aimed at reconstruction and modern teaching equipment delivery. Since the year 2000 the EU has invested around €64 million in Serbian education sector.

An expert commission composed of Vera Pavlović Lončarski, Head of the Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments and commission chairperson, Irina Subotić, President of Europa Nostra Serbia, Gorčin Stojanović, theatre, film and TV director, Vladimir Arsenijević, writer, translator and editor, and Maja Kolar, Head of Marketing and Communication at Banca Intesa, selected the ten finalists of the total of 1,290 sites proposed by citizens in the first stage of the project.
