അല്ലാഹു സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ഏതൊരു വസ്തുവിന്‍റെയും നേര്‍ക്ക് അവര്‍ നോക്കിയിട്ടില്ലേ? എളിയവരായിട്ടും അല്ലാഹുവിന് സുജൂദ് ചെയ്ത്കൊണ്ടും അതിന്‍റെ നിഴലുകള്‍ വലത്തോട്ടും ഇടത്തോട്ടും തിരിഞ്ഞ് കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു?

He said,“O Satan, what prevented you from prostrating before what I created with My Own hands? Are you too proud, or were you one of the exalted?”.
അല്ലാഹു ചോദിച്ചു:" ഇബ്ലീസേ, ഞാനെന്റെ കൈകൊണ്ട് പടച്ചുണ്ടാക്കിയവന്ന് പ്രണമിക്കുന്നതില്‍നിന്ന് നിന്നെ തടഞ്ഞതെന്താണ്? നീ അഹങ്കരിച്ചോ? അതല്ല; നീ പൊങ്ങച്ചക്കാരില്‍പെട്ടുപോയോ?".
