The Republic of Serbia has adopted the Law on the protection of whistleblowers in order to provide comprehensive and effective protection of whistleblowers.

Реализација пројекта подразумева ангажман релевантних домаћих и страних стручњака, озбиљну анализу међународних и упоредно-правних решења, организацију међународног експертског скупа и као финални резултат израду квалитетног модела Закона о заштити узбуњивача који ће након стручне јавне расправе бити понуђен нашој Влади и Скупштини на усвајање.".
Project implementation means engaging relevant domestic and foreign experts, serious analysis of international and comparative-law solutions, organizing international experts' meeting and as a final result, compilation of quality model of the Law on Protection of Whistleblowers. After the expert public discussion this Law shall be offered to our Government and the Assembly for adoption.".

Ово је прва публикација посвећена заштити узбуњивача објављена на српском језику. Публикација је припремана у оквиру пројекта" Заштита узбуњивача" који је од јула 2012. године спроводио Повереник за информације од јавног значаја и заштиту података о личности, уз финансијску подршку Британске амбасаде у Београду и Владе Краљевине Холандије.
This is the first publication dedicated to the protection of whistleblowers published in the Serbian language. The publication has been prepared within the Project''Whistleblower Protection'' implemented by the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection since July 2012 with the financial support of the British Embassy in Belgrade and the Government of the Kingdom of Holland.

We have discussed many issues of importance to the fight against corruption and mostly, of course, we talked about the protection of whistleblowers. The issue of protection of insiders, who are more and more often called whistle blowers("those who blow whistles") in the world, or as we increasingly call them- alarm raisers(''uzbunjivaci), is really a very current one.
